The orc bard looks like 3million
Regardless since they just opened this up to more countries. I fully expect to blow by the 3million mark... let’s hope they have a few more stretch goals planned.
I haven’t purchased it yet but I plan to as well. Having a few dozen more minis and quests to use them makes it a better deal.

Strange to see such big changes during the course of the campaign; you'd have thought someone in a company this size might have come up with this kind of stuff beforehand, and gotten it organized prior to launch.
Still, good to see things becoming a bit more sensible.

Not strange at all considering the VAST majority of the last 12 pages in just this thread alone are people complaining they can't get it. All the negative buzz has completely drowned out the little positive buzz, there's a post or 2 about how excited we are it's coming back then 20 complaint posts from UK/EU/Oz members. I'd assume that is indicative of Hasbro's social media feed, because they went from saying nothing to saying "it'll be out in EU in 2022" to just opening it up completely to Oz and EU via partnerships.
I'm betting the initial NA campaign was intended as a test to see if it was worth doing at all and it blew up more than they thought it would

Yeah I mean even the change on shipping to Canada shows that they are atleast listening and see there even more money to be had if they open it up more.
Now that the price is cheaper I'm probably going to end up getting it. Just waiting until there 48 hours left like I always do for crowdfunding.

I think that they had originally only posted goals up to about $2m was what they were assuming was their target endpoint. I don't think they had any idea that there would be a large non-US desire for this game.
I'll bet they based their initial numbers on a fraction of the sales numbers for the D&D board games like Wrath of Arshadalon and the like, and this is blowing out their initial expectations.

According to their PulseCon video (aired a few days after the Haslab launch), there are goals to at least $4m. The $4m goal is a quest book written by actor Joe Manganiello, which includes a new boss enemy figure.

Two of the additions to the stretch goals were mentioned from the off.
Got to say, not completely sold on the Druid. Looks like she’s just wearing her jimjams.
I expect it’ll grow on me though.

Most of the new minis look stupid, but that's kind of par for the course on this campaign. The new heroes are just a kind of pat-on-the-head, "Good of you to try," thing for me. You never know when you'll need an NPC mini of a similar description though.
They definitely planned stretch goals through $4 million, though I don't know that they really had a clear vision of how much this would make, or that Hasbro brass cares a whit. But it's excellent that they found a way to start supplying it to people around the globe who want it.
I watch a channel on Youtube called Retroblasting about collecting toys, and he's done a couple videos about HasLab/Hasbro Pulse, basically noting their incompetence and inability to satisfactorily fulfill their core audience of toy collectors, and after watching that the way this campaign has been run is really no surprise whatsoever. Anybody pixelbitching the details of this campaign and thinking there's a team of dedicated, knowledgeable designers and lawyers behind all their decisions is probably wasting their time. It's likely all seat of their pants, half-thought through decisions by a largely disinterested toy company man.

If they only have stretch goals to 4 million i doubt it will be enough. I’m guessing we will be closer to 5 million by the end of this campaign.

During the Hasbro PulseCon livestream, every 5th post was "WORLDWIDE SHIPPING" or something similar. I think they finally got the message (or maybe they'd planned for it? Hmm. That might be generous)

That was my point. I'm not surprised they opened it up beyond the USA (yes, Canada was technically possible but prohibitively expensive at the start) after receiving tonnes of negative feedback, but I'm surprised they couldn't have anticipated this situation.

Had never heard of Hasbro Pulse before this (probably precisely because it has been limiting itself to the USA before now), but that sounds strangely believable. Anyone with some background in or knowledge of gaming would have known a Heroquest relaunch would be popular, including in Europe.

A thought on the stretch goal hero models.
I’m broadly on the fence about them. Whilst they’re perfectly good renders, they’re just a bit too far out from my solid Hero Quest nostalgia.
After all, I’m only used to the main four, plus the Men-At-Arms from Wizards of Morcar (might’ve been Against the Ogre Horde?). So perhaps that causing some internal prejudice, as I’ve no qualms at all about the rest of it?

Waiting until either an EU distributor is revealed or failing that it will be a last day backing of the UK Zavvi option (shipped via Northern Ireland).
Hopefully the Spirit Queen gets a mini

I've been looking at getting a copy of Heroquest for a couple of years, part of my "Maybe the kids will want to play tabletop games with their dad" plan.*
Missed out on it, back in the day because I was gaming snob, even in the late 80s - I had WFRP and AD&D. Didn't need a kids game, did I? Idiot that I was...
It's not as if I'm in a big rush to get a copy, especially as the (hopefully) decent copies go for £100-ish anyway. This is the same price as the swanky new one, so why not just get the new one? The renders of the minis alone make me think that I'd be really disappointed with the original, by comparison.
This game is pushing all the right buttons with me - I don't need it to be a super complex and involved 21st century dungeon crawl, once we've moved past it, I can break out the small mountain of Dungeon Saga stuff that I've got.
* Fully aware that this plan has no right to succeed; partially because I'm not a pushy parent and partially because I've learned that no cunning plan involving children is going to go in the direction that I thought it would.

I've decided to hold off until the final 5 days and if everything is quiet on other fronts, I'll probably take the leap.
Been giving it some thought of late, but given the maps and special conditions I feel some confidence in writing an Android app to provide solo play. Room layouts, monster placements and room searches. It would also be cool for writing new quests too...
...and dammit, I need to get back into the swing of programming!

Not the only kid's dc out there. I found Quest Kids and there's a free Dungeoncrawl ruleset (search on BGG) if you have game tiles and mini's. WotC is also releasing an boargamey intro to D&D game. Then, if you RPG, there's always the D&D Starter sets. Lots of content for under $20.

I like the current druid too. They wanted a succulent themed druid so wearing giant agave leaves makes alot of sense to me and will sell the idea alot better then the lone succulent in the hair you will barely see.

Not saying the update helped?
But being a weirdo, I check in on the project daily.....and the total jumped by around 10% after the reveal.
There are of course other plausible explanations - and it’s likely a fine blend of all those possibilities.
But even so. Head Canon.

It looks like they are adding non US funds once a week on Thursday as it's jumped to $2,347,491 from around $2,150,000 earlier today
