I own about 50 - split evenlyish between vallejo and GW contrasts

Which for me is a lot of paint. I can't even imagine some of the people in here with over 200 paints!

I have under 100, mainly due to storage concerns, mainly citadel, but a share of vallejo, tamiya, revell, artist inks and oils.

It's a side effect of working on multiple projects... they creep up.

Although part of mine has also been from branching out to try out different ranges in the last few years.

Yeah, I guess it depends on how you approach things. I've never started a project and thought "which of my paints that I already own will I use to paint this?" it's always "what is the colour scheme I want to achieve?"

Seldom do I have to buy every single colour I want to use, but you take two or three colours, and multiply that by 4 or 5 or more projects a year, and scale that up by over a decade, add in some range experimentation and it adds up.

Never really counted, but I have 3 vallejo paint racks full that hold about 90 each...plus another 150 of GW paints...

Outside of those main two companies, probably only 50 or so pots combined of all other manufacturers.

Just over 60 for me. Many of them are at the end of their working lives and will soon be cleaned out and used for terrain or recycled by giving them to Ms. Captain Brown for her custom mixes.

More than a 100, but not 'all.'
Mostly GW just for availability, a box of ~30 Vallejo with a few Army Painter bottles scattered in, and ~40 so P3. Some of which I should use, because there are some decent khakis and browns that would be useful in current projects.
So probably closer to 150-175, now that I actually look.

Some I haven't cracked in ages, others I need to find replacements for because they're somehow just tinted water with almost no pigment. Nothing stuck to the bottom of the bottle either.
Hrm. The creepy local 'real wargames' store in town actually carries Vallejo. I may have to give another think about switching over (at least for basic colors), despite how much the owner makes my skin crawl.

Over 400. God help me.

All kinds of manufacturers, from early Citadel to current Citadel, entire range of P3, various Foundry, Coat D’arms, scale75, Vallejo...

I only actually use around 50 or so on a semi-regular basis, the rest just sit there, waiting for their time to shine.

When I first got into the hobby, only enough pots to paint the one army I had. So no more then 15.

Once I got REALLY into the hobby and branched out into other systems...

I have enough that I also have a decent pile of old dried out GW ones. Part of the reason I'm moving away from GW paint to Vallejo/Scale 75. Probably not as many as most here but I'm inching closer to 100.

I've never counted but it's a lot, definitely over a hundred, probably over 200. I don't tend to throw old paints away but find myself buying new paints whenever I start a project so I've doubtless got lots of dried out pots.
GW, Vallejo, Tamiya, Revell, P3, Army painter are just the few ranges that come to mind

I love buying paint. It's my go to purchase when I want to get out of the house and visit the gaming store, but don't really need anything. I also buy it whenever it's on sale, or I want to try something new. Basically, I've probably spent a couple hundred bucks a year, on average, for like 19 years.

Long story short, I have hundreds of pots of paint.

No bloody idea. Tons of gw, vallejo(getting fewer), army painter, reqular, air brush.

Pic has all paints used in all my lumineth models(some unit specific ones missing). Was trying to clear table of paints not using on current project. Effect was tiny.

More than I need, but I have a mix of Army Painter, Reaper, and Citadel paints.

The bulk are actually Apple Barrel cheap craft paints from Wal-mart. When watered down and enameled they work just fine!

Well, let's see. There's 21 Contrast pots on my desk, I've got a dozen "I don't care, it's terrain" Apple Barrel large paint pots, half a dozen colored primers that were Adepticon samples, probably three dozen Privateer Press paint pots, two or three dozen Army Painter pots, two or three dozen old Citadel paint pots, ...

That's how I get to the '100 or more' total.

Way too many. I'm currently moving so I can't do a count, but I'll definitely be doing that once everything is done.

And then my in-laws sent me another 36...
