Vejut,

I would weather the blue down. It looks to bright and joyous for walking dead.

Some progress on my ugly (scarily so) old metal Necromunda Goliaths.

Cheers,

I found something that is suitable for this months challenge, so I'll take part as well:
I think they might've been scrapped from the GW product line but I got some of these old dire wolves and my brother is starting a DnD campaign as a necromancer so I'll paint these up for him. Not sure if I'll be able to do all three. I'll most likely only enter one as a final model.

This would be that dire wolf in his WIP state

I've decided to start with a Citadel werewolf from 1979. Already pretty spooky. Then I'm going to chop it up and convert it into a Warhammer 40K Wolfen, which was a very rare, limited release miniature from 1988 that is almost impossible to find. I'm going to try to make mine as close as possible to the 1988 Wolfen.

Here's my proof:

Here's my goal (the guy on the right):

Nice necron yorkright and good progress from everyone. I got a bit more done today, these models are tiny and pvc so they are painting up pretty quickly.

Thanks to Jason Fulford at Rogue Heresy, I found a weapon donor: Spitgun Suzi, a Citadel Judge Dredd Perp:

Not yet sure what it's going to be.
But I have bunch of foam core and balsa wood in my cabinet, and I felt like crafting something for the first time in a long while.

Not so much progress as I have been too lazy to go downstairs for anything, but figured I could at least glue most of him together this morning for an idea of just how massive he is.

Iron Within: I redid all the steel with Iron warrior paint instead of leadbelcher. I like the effect.

Here he is with his center stone started as a huge chunk of Warpstone. I thought about doing it in orange, but I didn’t think it would go well with the brass.

You can’t see much detail here, just shear size.

I've got some time off starting tomorrow so this may be the time to dip my toes back in.

I work for a UK exam board so August and the first half of September got wiped out for me this year due to all the kerfuffle.

I took your advice and extended the glow on the bases, as well as blending the green into the grey a little better and adding edge highlights on some of the stones. As always, the models look better in person than in the huge zoomed in photos on my gallery page. I also did some work on this guy:

His right arm broke off twice while I was primering the model. I ended up drilling deep into the humerus and ulna, to the point where the metal is a little deformed. That should hopefully keep it intact. The bone is finished in this photo, and I thought the wings were as well, but then I noticed the little spike-thumb things. I'll have to go back over those.

Now showing various models from the previously abandoned projects!

Painting total as of 25 May 2025: 67plus a Deva King statue

Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants
