I've just realised I forgot to post a proof photo. I decided to do an Imperial Fists Primaris Marine, painted as smoothly and cleanly as I possibly can. In many ways this is the most terrifying prospect a miniature painter can face. I've actually finished it, and my wife and I are trying to take some photos now. It turns out that photographing a yellow Primaris is an equally horrifying proposition.

Here's how it looked a week or so ago -

Not going to finish this one. Got basecoats and wash done, but that was a struggle.

Lost all interest in picking up a brush.

Good luck to all out there still making an effort though.

Phew, just under the line!

Usually I would not attend with a terrain piece, but I figured that for a halloween theme it might be fitting.
You can ignore the crafting part and take only the painting into account when voting. I don't mind.

Got to try quite a few new techniques with this piece. And building it was really really fun!
Learned a lot and enjoyed myself, so that's a win in itself right?

Just a reminder, that the time in the original post is a little deceptive. I hate doing time zone math and never changed it. At the time of me posting this, it’s about 4:00 PM for me, and I’m not going to stay up to midnight just to close this. So more likely I’ll formally shut it down and start next month’s over coffee tomorrow, in about 14ish hours.

Just pretend someone asked for a little more time and I said OK every month. (although I should probably switch the formal times to Eastern if I’m going to keep managing these.)

Superb, felt! Love an Imperial Fist.

I've just finished a single solitary Howling Banshee for my kill team. It was going to be an with an exarch too, but I accidentally snapped the spear off about a week ago and I haven't got round to fixing it yet, so there was no way I was going to finish the painting on that one.

I'll take some photos and upload in a bit. I might miss the deadline by an hour or two, hope that's okay, Para?

Loads of great stuff again this month!

I dipped into GW past for my entry and dug out some old halloween themed minis. Doubly scary for me when I realised all of these sculpts are over 30 years old!

This is pretty low-rent compared to the awesome things on display already, but I still want to join the fun! This is made by Kromlech, I'm calling it a "squig-o-lantern". Pardon the dodgy photography as this model is essentially a sphere and my phone camera has very poor depth-of-field.

Is nobody gonna talk about how felt just totally did the most frightening model? I'm legitimately afraid to paint a yellow marine. No joke. Definitely one of my picks

OK, I think it’s time to call this one done. If someone asked for a little more time and I missed it, sorry, but I think all those are in. It will take me a bit to get the vote thread together, so slap me if I forgot you. Although as I sift the thread for final pics, I’ll probably be reminded. Also, I did update the end time for this one, so all you “just under the wire” people need to read the fine print and do your timezone math!

I didn't officially ask for extra time, but I did in my head. So I don't know if that counts. Finished this last night, but didn't take photos until this morning.

The sculpting was rushed, the paint job was rushed, but it was fun. And, as an added bonus, all the colors that aren't black glow in the dark.

Ghost Rider sculpted entirely from GS on the back of a Hotwheels motorcycle. I'll use him for Gaslands. If he doesn't make the cut for the vote, I'll live. It was fun and I learned some things that will make the next one better.
