In terms of how they thought this was a great idea to organize during a pandemic, no idea. Sure, the English lockdown may have been announced after this plan was drawn up and halfway executed, but the pandemic has been going for a while now. This doesn't feel like the time to recommend people to regularly visit your stores.
Agreed, but at the same time a lot of other retail outlets are doing similar things. Heck the UK Government did a voucher system for food outlets to encourage people to go spend at the government would pay part of each bill. I figure the GW stores are basically right now just a case of walk in, collect stuff, walk out. There's likely limited browsing and no painting/hobby/gaming time in store.
I still would like some kind of system for those of us generally avoiding stores, mostly just for the coins.
Another thing to consider is that whilst GW has no problem with us getting stuff off their webstore or 3rd parties, GW relies on their local stores having a healthy income and customerbase in order to ensure that they remain viable places to promote the hobby. so enticing/encouraging/reminding people to shop in their stores is a move so that they don't end up with their entire market "internet trained" and buying online only. Local stores need customers and gamers turning up to pay the bills and provide games/social for new customers who then go onto spend locally etc...

Nice that the paint is the MOST expensive pot free. Almost all these Buy x, get one free, it’s the cheapest one you get free.

They just announced they're closing down malls, and the Warsaw one is in a shopping mall, so it'll have to wait.

Appreciate it’s a different deal, but the GW webstore did recently do the “spend X, get a free voucher the following month” thing. That’s still rolling, I’ve just got my 2nd voucher.

Well I think it’s a great offering. It’s not often they do much, so anything is a nice bonus.
I like the look of the paint box, that’s pretty cool. Gimmicky sure, but still.
Coins, I’ll never spend £60 in a month. Probably not in 3 months to be honest, as I’m cutting down spend not increasing.
But if I could get ahold of them for a good price, they’re a neat thing to have.
Free model. Well, I can walk into town for a free Model each month. I wonder how long that’ll last for. 12 months, or a new initiative from now onwards.
Hope they don’t run out that quickly..
(Also it seems they won’t be clipping off as mentioned above, as the store is getting sent the coins, paint boxes and models in.

For what it's worth... and I appreciate there are multiple factors at play here (the smaller nature of the shops, the fact most are one-man, this being anecdotal evidence based on just one shop)...
My local GW and FLGS are both tied for absolute 100% best Covid measure responses out of all the shops I've been to. Between the shop being closed for a while before opening again, and the factory measures, it looks like GW are taking it very seriously.
Granted, enticing people in with a free model on a particular day may well do something to stymy that...

What about those of us who are outright avoiding shops even when they are open.
I'm going to tell you this as a Healthcare worker.
I understand the virus is VERY easily transmitted. Nobody wants to potentially affect our loved ones as, unfortunately, everyone will react to the virus differently. However, think of this as more a trip grocery shopping, which many of us do regularly. Be quick and swift and then leave. Go get your mini. Don't live in fear but do be as cautious as you can. This is a hobby many love, and in times of social distancing that little bit of happiness we get from putting together a new model and/or painting it really helps.

It’s not a particular day to get the free model.
It just starts at the beginning of the month.
So you can go in whenever.
I assume they mean they’ll run out within a week for instance, not literally go that morning or you’re out of luck..

Really like the free paint pot scheme. It doesn't seriously undercut most local shops (as most I know of would be offering something like a 10% discount or loyalty program anyway) and encourages people to think out their painting schemes and needs and maybe get something you use a lot of, or maybe something new to try out.
The free mini also just seems nice. It won't be some massive blow to FLGS, nor cause some massive influx to GW, because it's not gonna be some limited model, and it seems like it will be the same one for everyone each month. It's a nice little gift to people visiting the shop, and a cool source for a potential conversion or addition to the bits box (spot the ork player).
The coins are more annoying for me personally, but that's just because I would love to get me some 40K and Necromunda (or maybe even AT or AI?) coins, but are not particularly excited about AoS anything. They seem like they would be a cool little special way to mark out a particular objective, or use for a priority marker. Also, because I DO have a great FLGS, I would rather support them than get a coin or two. But for those of you who do shop GW, pick up the coins! Like Grotsnik said, join the Loot Group and help out your fellow GW fans!

Annoying that not all the coins are 40k? I think a mix is the best way really.
Then people who only spend some months could even try to edge their bets on a different months if it’s good etc.
(A Dark Angel coin for Jan/Feb would be great. And I fell like it’s in the lore for some kind of inner circle coin thing?)

Yeah, I did see that, buuuuuut "while stocks last" and "free" combined have always meant "turn up on day one to even get a look-in" to my ears.

Hmm, smart promotion. You get a free paint if you buy 9 others, which is a pretty legit investment. The free mini is cheap for them, and will probably entice someone to buy extra stuff.

If you were able to get them via the online shop then it wouldn't be too hard, for me at least. HEAPS of the Middle-Earth stuff is only available from GW online.
But otherwise, yeah why would you.

nice, this comes just in time for shadow and pain. So I'll pick up the model and get the coin.
As for other months, it will depend on if I need enough stuff for a coin. Seeing how a coin is a nice bonus when I already wanted to spend the 80+ euros, but not a reason to spend 80+
