Wonder what the NewBorn will look like. Hopefully something different from the Avatar of Ynnead. Yncarne is cool, but since we've already had it serve as the new eldar god, I want the Newborn to be something unique, but still slaaneshy.

Also, GW, show off the full Seraphon under world team, or another warband, pleeeease.

Spoilers spoilers spoilers for AOS

Spoiler:
In the end of the new AOS book, Slaanesh gave birth a new god. It then proceeded to follow Morathi into the mortal realms. When it spoke to its followers, a lot of them died from sheer exctasy. So people are predicting this will be the plot of the second AOS Shattered Realm book, as well as a new model for Hedonites.

In Age of Sigmar the recent major event in the Morathi book that came out yesterday was

Spoiler:
Slaanesh, who is generally described in AoS lore with a male pronoun, gave birth. The spawn escaped the prison Slaanesh is in when Morathi breached it to steal the souls of the Elf Kings from the Old World. It then fled her keep and slammed into the ground to be quickly surrounded by the follows of Slaanesh. It's a newborn creature from the dark god and we've no idea what it looks like or what it does or anything.

Spoiler:
Based on what GW said in the most recent article, I'd take it that the Newborn is the new Slaanesh. It's no more likely to receive an actual model than any of the other Ruinous Powers

Slaanesh has always been referred to with male pronouns despite being always depicted as hermaphroditic.

Maybe, but Gods are pretty common in AoS. Nagash, Teclis, Morathi, the Everqueen, etc are all "god-tier" characters but also have a physical model. The [redacted] would be a good way to have a chaos equivalent, besides Archaon. Something Daemon Primarch tier, to use a 40k analogy

In 40K, yes. Fantasy and AoS have been consistent with male pronouns.

But even then, the original Eldar words that make up the name mean "Prince of Pleasure".

I do admit, it is probably a lot more likely that we see Slaanesh mortals than Emps Children. Honestly, the Hedonite tome is a pretty boring battletome since it's basically built around summoning and not much else. I would love a rewrite of it, that included mortals. I would just think they'd save that mortal previews for a little further down the line, since it seems like an endgame situation for Broken Realms.

Quite the contrary, the mortal stuff has been long overdue at this point. It's been teased at long before Hedonites the book came out and is why it was silly that it released without a heavy mortal contingent.

Best bet for Emperor's Children is if Hedonites get Slaangors as a new unit, not dissimilar to Tzaangors for Disciples of Tzeentch and Thousand Sons, and that's if we're all very lucky

I suspect the "Decay" part to be related to the bloody dozens of undead-themed rumor engines we've seen over the past several months

Screw that, no offense. Slaanesh got a model release roughly equivalent to the entire DoK line barely a year ago and has kept up release for release since then. Combine that with how doggak Broken realms Morathi was rules wise, it would be desperately unfair for them to get more stuff this soon. Even worse for armies like LoN who have been waiting for longer or Beastmen/ Skaven who didn't get a real refresh with their tomes.

Slaanesh is the only chaos god that lacks mortal forces, it was going to come eventually. The current hedonite book is basically a demon battletome. You can't even take a certain command trait because of the lack of mortals and keywords. It's a barebones book. There is a reason why all you saw was keepers when people ran the army.

For Middle Earth I am expecting a new Treebeard as the current (really undersized model) has just been discontinued. Wouldn't be surprised to see a new Ent kit alongside as well.

Yeah - it's a filler week because the new Blood Bowl set (which went up for preorder yesterday) has a two-week order window prior to release

...here we go again.

What would be of interest is something on the next xenos codex, KT and a hint regarding the next WHQ game.

Given that Blood Bowl has just had a new starter set it would be cool if Necromunda: Underhive got updated as well.

Yep its a 2 week pre-order on Bloodbowl. Considering its only £85 for a full 2 team starter set and everything in the box its fantastic value and its basically a "new edition" box for BB. So I expect it and the rulebook and other accessories to be selling really powerfully to the BB community.

Dunno- the seeming promise of something Slaanesh makes me hopeful for a January release for Slaanesh mortals, or at the very least something new for them in Jan.

Well I am looking forward to seeing some more info on Underworlds, doubt it will be new warbands but just further info on the new core will be interesting (not that I have been able to watch the video yet as I am at work).

If "Decay" is a reference to the new Death Guard codex it will be nice to get a look at the first Chaos codex of 9th edition. Maybe it will provide some clues as to how gwwl will be handling the other Legions in 9th.
