I hope so. I'd hate to get something else whilst leaving that without a mini. Again.
They're almost certainly introducing new Champions (and Prospects) of sorts while leaving former resin-candidates without a model. I'd guess this is the new Van Saar champion, whatever it will be called. Which doesn't necessarily rule out the Arachnarig also getting a model of course; the Eschers after all got a late release of their Phyrr Cats (well, technically not yet, but they were announced and are presumably to be released before too long).

Yeah you're almost certainly right. Wonder if we'll get a little bit of a DG codex preview like SM & Necrons did (although that was a specifically-branded codex preview, if I remember correctly)

I still feel that would be weird seeing next day we get announcement of codex and on monday previews of rules etc

Also a fair point. Just trying to rationalise why they'd bother putting the "decay" bit into the title

There's very strong hints of death models for aos.

Though if decadence is about mortal slaanesh for aos feels odd for 1game to own both titles

I wouldn’t think it that odd as the second half of this year has been almost exclusively about 40k with the new edition and all. It wouldn’t be that weird to kind of jam pack the first couple big releases for AoS into the first 3-4 months of next year.

That all said I think the Decay is for the Nurgle book, character, and terrain. They probably just chose the word Decay because of the slight theme and the alliteration.

I could see GW's original plan - Lumineth and Gargants in the first part of the year - middle segment dominated by Necrons and Marines and new 40K edition then last quarter being a swing back to AoS with another new/major army update.

except we don't know exactly when death guard will go in pre-order, we're talking gw here, they've anounced things to come in month x only to go on pre-order on the last saturday of the month.

Well whatever it is has three arms one side at least, so seems a good bet.
Nothing else really comes to mind, something Ad Mech I suppose randomly. But Van Saar fits the preview theme likelihood.

It's probably just the arm-beneath-arm thing, but I'm getting slight TAG vibes from Infinity.

It’s definitely Van Saar, the question is more is it the Arachnarig, or something new? It’s probably their new Champion from Book of Artifice.

Baharroth? Currently the lamest of the Phoenix Lords?

Whatever it is, it’s got that fancy-Dan sword from the rumour engine.

Hmm, it could also be a Slaanesh mortal, didn’t the old Slaanesh lord guy for the old world have similar armour and a rapier?

Could be Sigvald.

I’m pretty sold on it being Sigvald. Even has the same bare upper arm as the existing one.

That's a Slaanesh mortal. Check the scarification on the thigh.

It’s on armour. Even still, it looks like the old Slaanesh lord model from the old world so I’m pretty much 100% sure it’s Slaanesh.

I'm thinking maybe the modern version of sigvald? (but hopefully not sigvald. I can't stand the trend of them bringing back old world characters; You already destroyed the old world- just be brave enough to move on, GW!

I mean to be fair, slaanesh has been given new characters in aos with shalaxi and syllesske + whatever the newborn ends up being having 1 old face back wont hurt. His rapier doesnt match the other one in rumour engine, so chance he is bringing mirror guard as a retinue for him.

Wishlist for mortals
10 man box of spears or bows
5-10 man slaangore box
3 man mirror guard elite bodyguard unit
sigvald
generic hero
The baby as centrepiece

Slaanesh will get...Sigvald, one unit of specialized infantry that will still be worse than marauders and that's it, i bet.

100% Slaanesh.

And I can see the Sigvald influence. Similar indents in the armor.
Even the little jewelry dangling off his chest plate

Crackpot theory:

The Newborn is Slaanesh's favorite champion from the Old World, reborn. Sigvald's been marinating in Slaanesh juice for aeons, soaking up all that daemony goodness

Well there was a whole plotline from underworlds and malign portents that a mirror was found that contained the most vainest mortal of all.

We know its a hedonite, since it has the pointy shoulder pad the new hq and Underworld models have. Is the shoulder pad supposed to be a reference to the slaanesh symbol or just a random pointy thing?

The sword silhouette doesn't match Sigvald's, though it looks like it could still have the little snake wrapped around it...
