Thrilled by Typhus' faction getting focus in this campaign supplement. Less than impressed than DG having paid supplemental content announced when their book isn't even released yet.

From what I understand, the books are for Crusade ?
From War Community :
The Plague Purge Mission Pack allows everyone to join the fun in the Charadon war zone with a host of specific Crusade rules. Send your army campaigning through a land of rust and decay, and pick up some new relics and abilities along the way. In the same way as Beyond the Veil, this pack gives you a whole new region of space to set your campaigns in.

Not everyone can. How is this concept of an intro/catch-up time alluding you? Everyone else gets it.
From wh community:
War Zone Charadon Act 1: The Book of Rust
There’s more than just the background of an epic war zone in here, the book also includes new rules for:
Death Guard
Adeptus Mechanicus
Imperial and Chaos Knights
Drukhari

Not everyone can get there at [specific time], but everyone can get there at [specific time after 15 minutes of aimless waffle], is essentially what you're saying then? This would be an uncommonly stupid thing to think, but ok.

He's not wrong though. They did a 40k preview and showed 4 books, one of which appears (on the face of it, at least) to be Day 1 DLC for the upcoming Death Guard Codex. And they didn't show a single model.

So in your area movies start on the dot of the time, and leave no time for anyone to get seated, or play ads/trailers?
I really don't know why I'm arguing with you about this because, as I said, everyone else gets it. You're the only one who thinks its weird.
What's wrong with you?

I for one am relieved at the preview not being 40k-centric; it's a rare thing!

I'm curious to what that 40k looking preview was? The Dark Mech/Warpsmith/ Death Guard thing. Also that Drukhari one? But it is true, no new models for 40k is probably pretty disappointing for a lot of people. Could wrap things up I guess.
It's not even that they preview only 4 books, it's the fact that a day 1 DLC for two codices (Death Guard, Dark Eldar) is outrageous, imho.
The Crusade book is fine, it's the campaign one that is the issue if it contains rules for generalist matched play (and not only campaign narrative games).
