Had some issues with payment for Hachette and some missing issues the past week in the UK and the customer service has been brilliant - prompt to get back to me (just a few hours), able to resolve everything... don't know if they've changed their approach or supplier but was very pleasantly surprised.

Because someone (I’m sorry, I’m typing on a cell phone, I can’t really look you up, but you have my thanks for posting!) posted that they found issues beyond 4 at the store, I decided to make the 1.5 hour drive to my nearest Barnes and Noble. I found issues 4, 5 (broken sprue, so I left it), 6 (yeah!!!), very many copies of 7 (3 paints), and a whole bunch of issue 8!!! Issue 8 is interesting, because my sub had up to issue 7 in it and just arrived yesterday. So much for getting our sub before ALL FOUR ISSUES in it AND THE NEXT ISSUE are already in the stores.
still, I picked up that one issue 6 I found (I would’ve picked up a second one) and an issue 8. Im pretty happy having an extra issue 6!

If the US Sub is like UK / EU, then you receive the issues once all four have been released in the store, not in advance.

We are supposed to get our subscription before issues are in the store. However, that’s clearly not the case.

Don't see why you would be any more special in the US when as was mentioned before the president was set otherwise for the uk and Eu.

In Australia, like the UK, we get all 4 after they've been released. The US will be the same. Although I'd like to see where it says otherwise.

I don't see why it would necessarily have to be the same. It sounds like just a logistics issue to me. There's no reason (that I can imagine) they have to ship you your stuff, specifically, in batches of 4, one calendar month after the retail release, like it's some sort of ritual.

Dude, I am just telling you what they told us about when to expect our magazines. From an email I was sent by Agora (the company that takes care of the subs in the USA for Hachette):
Firstly, we wanted to share with you an update on your second delivery of the Warhammer 40,000 Imperium Collection. Due to shipping and port delays beyond our control, the publisher of the magazine has advised us that the delivery of Pack 2, which contains issues 4, 5, 6, and 7, will be delayed by roughly two weeks. We have therefore put your next payment date back to 8 March so that you are not charged too early in advance of us being able to ship your second pack. We apologise for this slight delay. We have also been told that copies are similarly delayed into stores, so you will still be getting your copies well in advance.
So that bold part turned out not to be true. That's all.
Also, pre cedent is that we are more special in the USA, and the pre sident is Joe Biden.

I didn't say they were right.
But other - less enlightened - souls may have believed their marketing lies.
And also I found issue 10 in Barnes and Noble today so they aren't just lies but filthy, filthy lies.

Just picked up an issue 5 and 8 in a BN while on vacation. They had 2 more copies of 8 and 3 copies of 7 with the paints. Was tempted by the paints, since black, white, and reteibutor are all very useful, I dont even know how many paints I currently have so dont need more

Just a heads up for Subscribers.
Seems Hachette are updating their payment systems, and it’s causing debits to show up differently.
Caused me a mild panic yesterday, but they did send out an email. Mine landed in my spam folder. Figured worth sharing.

B&N is all over the place on these issues. I work at one, and I think that maybe the distributor is treating each month's issues as one 'thing' and sending a certain amount of copies to each store--which means one store may get 2 issues, and another store gets 2 different issues. We just got issues 12 and 13 (I think) in our store on Monday. I am SURE we did not get some of the issues between 6 and 12. Absolute clusterfeth.

I tried my local B&N again, and no luck. They only got the four copies of #3 that I bought one of in February. At this point, it's too much of a PITA trying to get them. I'm sure Hatchette US will draw the wrong conclusion: there is no US market for part magazines. No, it's because distribution is all screwed up. You can't sell product if it is not at point of sale when the consumer wants to consume.

Went to my b&n today: one copy of issue 5 (the captain). First time looking though so idk if they have had all of them.
I didn’t buy it since I subscribe, and my packages have come with no problems.

I agree. When it was announced, they said "oh don't worry, if you don't have the subscription you can buy them at B&N". Ok cool, let me just head over to B&N and grab them. Oh they got 1-3, then 6, now they have 12 and 13. If I wanted issues 4, 5, and 7-11 I'm just SOL unless I want to go to another B&N that probably got those issues but not the other ones. It's madness. It's 2022, it's really not that hard to get distribution done properly. I know because I was in charge of it for a fairly large company and never had any of these kind of issues. I have no interest in the sub because I don't need necrons or paint. I would've happily bought all the space marines and terrain issues from my local B&N but it's too far out of the way to keep making special trips and hoping they have what I'm looking for. At this point I'll just go back to pretending it doesn't exist and buying on ebay if I really want to save a few dollars on a kit.

I have no idea what is going on at B&N, but can confirm that you will need to visit several locations to pick up all issues (and even then you may not be able to find all)
The subscription issues come in absolutely trashed due to completely inadequate packaging. My issue 6 had a hole right through all the pages from front to back. I was able to pick up an extra at B&N, and I wanted an extra one for the models of that issue, so I am still OK with a good looking issue, but if this had been an issue I would not have picket up a second one for I would've complained and asked for replacement. They are going to lose a fortune on issue replacements if they don't improve their subscription packaging in the USA.
The magazine itself is actually much better than I expected. I am really enjoying it. It is absolutely not an afterthought, but filled with great art and information.
Has anyone gotten charged for their April shipment yet (issues 8 - 11)? I have not seen any sign of the 3rd shipping, and with reports of issue 13 showing up in stores that makes my sub 6 issues behind at this point, which is getting to be a lot (especially since we were supposed to get our subs BEFORE the issues were available in stores)

I have not been charged for the third package yet.
Also, my second package arrived via UPS this time, where the first one came by USPS. How was yours delivered? The second package was still all just inside a soft plastic envelope, but being UPS it wasn't folded over and crammed into the mailbox like the first one from USPS was.
