Possibly. But, the Squat Leagues also depended on STC stuff.

Yes, they made it with greater skill - but being human offshoots, their tech is still STC based.

There are similar elements on Kharadron stuff so I wouldn't read it as necessarily needing to be STC linked. KO are essentially Squats in AoS [they look great with a grim dark paint scheme and 40k bits]
I hope its the guy the did the GSC bikes and vehicles thats designing these rather than the marine bikes and buggy...

Yes, that’s what I was thinking too. Although I would love to see a plastic Guard vehicle with tyres. Or Squats.

100% space marines. The top left is the same as the centre of primaris backpacks and on the side of outrider bikes

This was my first thought, but then all I could picture in my head were space marine versions of starcraft hellions which would really rile some people up in a wonderful way.

Hmmmmm….. Bring back a race that they tossed out because they decided they couldn’t elaborate on the idea, or sell more marines….
Which could it be?

Yeah. Squats are the most obvious nostalgia fix for 40k that's left. They've checked GSC, Knights, Sisters, even Custodes off the list by now, plus Necromunda. Reviving Squats seems more and more like a no-brainer, really, never mind what GW thought nearly 25 years ago.

I don’t doubt they’ll bring back squats. I just don’t think this RE points to their return. Marines, I says.

It's traditional for GW vehicles, especially IG ones, to have completely non-functional drivetrains. See the various tanks with track armour running down to the track so that they can't move over uneven ground, or the new marine bikes which can't turn their front wheels. It's like they deliberately try to make the silliest looking technology.

Kinda, but the text is usually unrelated and random. I wouldn't look too deeply at it

Or they simply don't have absolutely any knowledge about how vehicles work.

But It's cool and works because it's 38,000 years in the future and there is technology we don't have...They just don't know how it works

Could easily be GSC but seriously how many offroad vehicles do they need?

I'm okay with squats, I don't like the old Squats one bit but I'd trust GW to do a modern version of them as cool as they did AdMech and GSC.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Everyone’s going Necromunda OR Squats, but why not both? They already have a couple of special characters and a Squat gang would be a good place to start, particularly if they’re introducing an ash wastes vehicle expansion.

I know it's out there but...the DKoK transfer sheet has "Trenches and Minefield" bits on it. Gonna go ahead and say we're going to get a Minefield terrain piece, and a bot that goes with it.

by Bot do you mean penal legionnaire? Because have a dedicated machine when you can strap explosives onto a guy and have a moving minefield?

I dunno, the Guard already deploys remote-controlled self-propelled mines in the vein of the German Goliath. Sounds like a thing that would actually fit

He would be forced to make an army of them, of course. Temptetion would be irresistable. And disastrous for the wallet.

Nope, I mean a rolling thing that hucks mines out of it.

Disaster is obviously a figure of speech. Still, i think there's so much more interesting army they could add rather than squat.
