I don't even think you'd need to swap the heads! Slap some shuriken catapults and some guardian bodies and you'd be onto something!
Thats a fun idea! I also agree no need to turn them into lizards. I feel people get far to stuck with the dino rider thing. I imagine them riding anything that happens to be on a particular world. Big feral cats and beasts sounds great!

I usually don't complain about tactical rocks, but the vamp standing entirely on that little rock looks REALLY stupid. It doesn't even look possible the way the lord is leaning.
And those bats. . . yeesh.
Luckily this is all really easily fixed with clippers and removing the rock/bats.

It's not the biggest tactical rock, it's possibly not the weirdest tactical rock, but it certainly is one of the worst offenders in terms of how silly it looks and how unnecessary it is.
Rest of the model looks... fine? Hair just as ugly as the low-res picture hinted at, no idea what they were thinking there. Armour could have done with some more detail - based on the Sisters of Battle, they have the capacity to do terrific intricate patterns, but these are really just flat panels. Even some simple fluted armour would have looked great here. Even the mace has more interesting patterns than the armour.

Nice one,
Though it seems it is also, or may have just been, Garo’s giant cow picture.. Automatically Appended Next Post: Voss wrote:Danny76 wrote:
Not that I think it’s out of the question, Heroes sure, but how are you reading HQ from ‘stakes’ at all? Just seems a classic pun.
Stakes for Witch Hunters as the hero side of the WQ boxed set.
Also I assume you mean Warhammer Quest, as it definitely isn’t Heroquest.
Old, old habits. Heroquest, Advanced Heroquest and Warhammer Quest are all iterations of the same thing to me (though obviously with their own positives and negatives), and 'Heroquest' is the shortest version of the name, so that's what I use.
Yeah I got what it’d be, just wasn’t sure if the word linked back to the games to make you think of it. It’s been a long time since any of the old quest games etc.
To me, that’s like if they said “hats of to this guy” and thinking oh it’s a faction against vampires that wear headgear..
If they’d have said Questing to take out some blood drinkers, or something along the lines then I’d put more into the idea.
Hopefully you’re right, as it would be a good box potentially, I just didn’t see the link.

I like that they are doing something other than horses as mounts.
"She" is actually a "He" if you read the GW footnote.
Hmm do you mean where it says just take a look at this bloodsucking fiend, who answers to the title of Vampire Lord.
?
Male and female vampires are refered to as such in the game regardless of gender - otherwise not sure where you mean. I think they could pass for either really.
No, it literally says "He" at the bottom, in the footnote, as denoted by the Asterisk at the end of the line you quoted.
Which they have now removed.....

OF COURSE IT WOULD BE. Argh.
This day is driving me nuts. It's all the fault of the smaller image size initially where the 'string' looks like it is not even really there.

It's amazing that GW even added bowstrings. With the Lumineth archers, I get it. Three bowstrings makes them unique, so you need to model it. But none of the Hedonites got bow strings. Its funny in the new underworld box, since it has one person with bow strings, one without

Yup, magnets and a reinforcement rod painted black where it's mostly hidden. I usually clip a length of metal coat hangar and run that up either through the base and into the belly or for this one I might try to drill a space into the lowest leg and put it there. Paint the rod black and hide most of it with grass tufts (depends on basing, of course). Glue a magnet or 2 to the base and store them on cookie sheets in a box, absolute bet way to store/transport models unless you plan to take them on a plane.
I'm really liking these new Lumineth. The archers still very much need a headswap, but that's easy and I have plenty of Eternal Guard heads left. They also have decidedly too many tassels everywhere, but those are easy to clip off. Leaps and bounds (hah!) better than the cowhat Lumineth! Actually, looking at that Vanari Lord, I'm really sad that the regular Vanari Dawnriders are riding horses instead of some kind of cat-antelope-ibek that the Lord gets

That's too funny. I was just thinking how much I wish the lord was on a horse too. It sounds like it should be an easy thing to swap someone though. I may grab some extra dawnriders and see if I can trade the riders for archers.

Now, I can't unhear the Lumineths with Australian accents. Thanks Nick.
Funnily enough, the new treerunners do resemble a lot of extinct marsupials, and also a bit of Tauntauns, and I also really like the new Vanari Lord Regent and his mount.
This is a very hyped release for pretty much everyone, but lets be honest, everyone willt to see the Vampire Counts come back, more if they come in proper form; not just Nagash lackeys.
Just gimme plastic Blood Knights already!
If they happen to be Vampirates instead, oh boy. OH. BOY. Imagine having the entire roster of their Total Warhammer DLC in sweet, glorious plastic. Imagine having Necrofex Colossi Imagine proxying Leviathans with actual dead crabs or lobsters while playing Crab Rave.
Whatever it is, we are all winning this time around.
