Pretty much.

Depending on price, middle one might good a decent sourced for additional BSF cultists.

Doesn't say anywhere that these are USA exclusive, does it?

No. Would be good to see them in Smyths

Will be interested to see the price of these seeing as previous space marine adventures games didn't have models for the enemies.

As an underworlds/warcry fan, Bladeborn looks pretty cool to me. Look forward to seeing more about that one.

The model selection is a bit lacklustre compared to some of the Barnes&Noble ones.

A new round of cheapie games! Bladeborn might be intriguing if I weren't already going to own the miniatures. But as a general thought, I think people are going to see GW works in pricing cycles, they use relatively reasonable offerings to draw people in before the jack up the prices, but once that wears off, they do it again and new good deals become available.

Curious to see pricepoint on Fireteam. Might be a cheap way of bulking up on Assault Intercessors and Necron Warriors.

Recruit edition starter is already pretty cheap way. Though possibly, since Barnes and Noble has those 30% off coupons at times.

The "BSF" one looks like it's at least in part based off the horrible old Lost Patrol game?

(Actually, 1st edition was fine for what it is but is ancient; I'm not entirely positive 2nd was ever playtested.)

Bladeborn looks a little bit like Gorechosen, that one looks like Lost Patrol... they had a variety of small boxed games over the last five years but I can't remember them all. Maybe they decided to retry the basic offerings but with better rules based off their games that didn't suck.

I'm intrigued by Bladeborn. It looks like Warcry with Underworld style movement.

I love Underworlds and enjoy Warcry, but it would be really cool to have some alternate way to have a more traditional skirmish style game with my Underworlds bands.

It would pretty interesting if they include multiple scenarios and do like Blitz Bowl did and have stat cards for extra Underworlds bands in the box. It could add quite a bit of variety and replayability.

I've yet to buy any of these board games (but I'm planning on getting the current ones, like Combat Arena, for models alone).

I didn't realize the chaos one was Warcry Lite. That's cool; could be a good way to get into warcry (sadly, since it doesn't have the underworld cards, you can't easily use the warbands in the game)

Hopefully they're not region-locked, though as a US person, they'll definitely end up at Barnes and Noble

I WANT ALL OF THESE!

Love all the recent board gamesf, although I haven't gotten a lot of them specifically because they used the old style marines. Now that they have Primaris they're a must-buy. I also REALLY wanted that Chaos warband for Underworlds, but at $40 was kinda questioning it. A Warcy-Lite with those same models makes it a no-brainer. So a self-contained mini-Warcry, Mini-Killteam and what I'm guessing is the 40K version of Crypt Hunters? Yes please!

Thought you were being sarcastic, but then noticed the trade dress. Man that’s some coat tail riding.

Oh not these stupid B&N exclusives where they flash'em in front of us, ask are we pumped for them only to then say "well you're **** out of luck 'cos you're not having them."

As awful as the rules were, Lost Patrol was what got me to return to the hobby and become a full time GW customer once again. Its a shame they haven't got the odd GOC or Gorechosen once in a while for the UK.

Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

I'm curious who's involved with the rules writing. This Warcry/Underworlds simplified hybrid could be pretty good in its own right, much like Blitz Bowl turned out. Or Combat Arena's simple reskin of the Gorechosen rules (which were a lot of fun).

Also like Blitz Bowl I hope they offer up cards of existing warbands so you have a built in expansion options right out of the box.

Plus they could rebrand a big chunk of the already made pushift Underworlds warbands for this new game and sell them all over again.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Rebranding the Underworlds or better yet, including the cards for them in the box would be great. Kind of do what Blitz Bowl did with having cards for extra teams ready to go.

But conversely they also absolutely should put Underworlds decks for the included 2 warbands in this board game box. Or else they're telling new blood: Hey, you like these guys? You want to use them in the grown up game? You have to buy them again to get their grown up game cards.

I don't recall these games got extra rules and stuff for the "parent games"

The only one I can recall is Warhammer Underworlds: Dreadfane which had the two warbands that were compatible with the main Underworlds game. I see that as the exception though as the Dreadfane was a slightly cutdown version of Underworlds rather then a separate game.

The cards in Dreadfane are not "extra". You need them to play the game of Dreadfane, which also happen to also work as cards in Underworld.

So are the rules in these things any good?

If I got them it would be for models.

The Labyrinth of the Necrons game is pretty decent. Played it a couple of times all the way through with stepkid (11) and partner, both of whom agreed it was a fun game in and of itself, without either knowing a huge amount about 40K. I'd consider it a great gateway game too.

I can only speak for Blitz Bowl, but it is absolutely one of my most played games. It is a ton of fun and has been universally well-received by my friends and family, including those who don’t have a background in miniature games. I’m not sure how the others stack up.

I wonder what Bladeborn will cost? Because just getting those two warbands separately to combine into a single Chaos skirmish force would run about $65-70 dollars.

I’d guess 45-50, the same as the other Barnes and Noble games. GW has sold a lot of the Underworlds bands without cards for 25 each, so it wouldn’t be that far from expected cost.

Well, just Kargha's Ravagers would be 40 dollars, and the other would be 25 at least if I buy the store-exclusive box, so I would be really interested in paying 45-50 bucks for both in this set, with a bit of a game included, besides. Especially if after the "Big P" ends, I could potentially play Warcry with them at the LGS. I wonder what the potential of Bladeborn enabling that to be done is?
