Remeber that the pintle mount can free rotate, it could actually be mounted on a weird angle to the rest of the tank.

Oooh. That makes more sense. To be honest, I couldn't figure out your yellow lines. They looked like they were coming out towards the camera, not boxing in the shape of the tank, so I couldn't make heads or tails of it. Definitely optical illusion territory.

Anyway, Sisters getting a new rhino chassis tank is unexpected, but so were the stilt-walkers. Hopefully its closer to the rhino price than the immolator or exorcist.

I can actually imagine SoB having Predators but I somehow doubt it.

So I am going to bet on repressor but I also have strong reservations when it comes to new transport.

Edit: Okay, I somehow missed all of the comparision pictures. So Predator it is.

I can see it being either, sisters dont have a up close pure battle tank, they have transport, exorcist and the immolator as middle ground. Repressor kind of steps on the design space of the immolator as it is, or functions as just a better rhino. Personally I think either the Repressor is being updated to be a more upgunned heavily armed transport or its a predator/main battle tank for sisters.

Its probably going to be similar sprue set up to exorcist and immolator as those have unique rhino sprue with different tops.

Honestly my sisters wishlist for next wave is
-Upgunned repressor
-ecclisiarchy rabble/imperial cultists
-sisters foot combat troop unit (chainsword and bolt pistol or shields)
-generic living saint

Rules wise give some of the more side units in the elites slot the death guard 3 in 1 rule for hospitallers.

If it's a Predator, it's a new turret design. The overlayed version shows the Sister much more forward than the current Predator turret would allow.

There are a few things I worry about.

If it's a Repressor, I worry that GW will naff up the rules and give it a lot of restrictions or janky ways that a unit would shoot out of it, or just not give it that rule at all, invalidating it.

It would also be our 3rd transport, which is a bit overkill in my mind. If it's better in any way than the Rhino, people will just use the Repressor. If the Rhino is better in any way, people will just use the Rhino. It'll compete for transports, which... is excessive. The only case in which people will prefer the Rhino will be if it's cheaper, and loaded up with Repentia, since they don't have any shooting weapons.

The other thing is that, aside from the Exorcist, the Sisters have no long-range or dedicated battle tanks. APCs and mobile artillery platforms, yes, but no battle tanks like the predator. It doesn't have to be exactly like the predator either, it could have multi melta or flamer turrets instead of the traditional autocannon/lascannon loadouts. This would give us hopefully a more dakka option than the Immolator without paying a premium for transport capacity. In this case, however, the Immolator may go by the wayside in favor of this battle tank. If it's a heavy slot like the Exorcist, it also runs the risk of competing for that slot, which is already really competitive with Retributors, Mortifiers, and the Exorcist.

The last option is it's a totally new tank with a bunch of weird weapons and rules we haven't seen before. Ideally, it'd be in the Fast Attack slot, which at the moment isn't very competitive, so it'd fit easily into a Battalion...

Time will tell!

Hoping for a repressor revision much more than a nu-predator, IMO the melta-immolator is already a better middleweight MBT than any predator variant anyway. Mobile bunker with improved dozer blade is different enough that it doesn't compete too much with the other transports to be an issue for me.

I never bothered to follow Forge World, but I've noticed Sisters players often treat the Repressor as some sort of mythical revered artifact. What's the difference between a Repressor and a 'conventional' Sister's tank?

The occupants can fire out of the tank as it zooms around the table.

Friend of mine has about 4 of them, and they can make Retributors and Dominion units very, very scary.

It would be anyway, as that’s a separate sprue for it. Which would I guess be the one removed and sister sprue added..

If you zoom right in and look at the backback.
You can follow its shape that makes sense for us being at the back right of the tank.
Tried not to colour over it, so you can see the rough shape though. The head silhouette takes up where the right thruster part of the pack would be..
The hatch fits perfectly from this angle..

Then looking at the second image of it in the background (where it’s green) I think that further shows it.

I mean... the other angle only looks convincing because they've cropped away the tracks that are clear as day pointing right.

Those don't look like tracks to me, they're not that even and look too much like the torn paper edge that also goes up the back. Assuming you mean the pattern at the bottom.

However the angle of the rank if you got to the 360 spin (especially the chaos or sisters one where you can change inclination too), it's clearly pointing towards the bottom right. The single antennae is the thing that gives it away for me, as well as the track blocks.

However I definitely think it has the Repressor's extended hull and perhaps a bit more upfront, like a vindicator. There's an extended passenger section with a pintle weapon, and clearly no turret gun.

Finally a workup of the outline that make me think this really is a Repressor. We have the small turret weapon. The raised passenger department. The general shape of a Rhino. If it's not an actual Repressor, it is looking like a spiritual cousin.

Needs a cork board, red yarn and thumbtacks at this point. Don't get me wrong, some good analysis here, but we're pretty solidly at 'Sisters tank variant on Rhino chassis or very similar' and with the reveal 4 days away, we don't really need much more depth than that.

I don't think it'll be a Repressor because of what GW said when they previewed the Mobile Suit Nundam:

Sisters have been around for ages, but despite the massive release they received, they've not received any truly new units. They've had some similar units based upon existing designs (Zephyrim and Mortifiers), but nothing new.

A Repressor isn't new.

Seeing the different angles you guys came up with for the tank tease hurt my brain. But I am also on the repulsor bandwagon, though I still feel like it has treads at the bottom. The new tank would have to be on par with the exorcist to get my attention though, and I'm not sure what church-y elements are left to exploit. Bells, maybe, but I doubt this one has it

Edit: I keep flip flopping. I feel like the tank is facing us. As lots of people have said, you can see the little antennae on the back which Rhinos all have. Its always the same bit in the same place. And it doesn't look like its on the Repulosr, so idk.

I'm just glad I could get people to see the tank 2 different ways confusing everyone even more!

Isn't there an optical illusion that works this way? Where you can't tell which way something is facing because it's done up in silhouette?

Anyway, I'd be thrilled for a dual kit, or at least a tank with lots of different options. If it's truly a Repressor, then the only thing I foresee it having options-wise would be a different pintle-mounted gun. The old repressor just had two pintle-mounted bolters and I think one could be a combi-weapon or something.

They could go the way they've done it with the other sister's tanks and shove a Heavy Bolter in the front, but even then...

I also can't shake that it's going to have sponsons. The shape on the side, with the little box-looking thing resembles so much the predator sponsons targetting system. That'd honestly be great! Even if it's a Repressor, having the option to take some heavy bolters on the side for extra dakka would be a lot of fun.

The more I look at it, the more I'm convinced we're seeing it from the top, looking down on it moving top left to bottom right.

And it has tracks.

I think the sponson targeter silhouette really sells it as a sisters version of a predator. I can imagine a sisters variant with some sort of long range melta weapon we have seen with the latest primaris units and then perhaps HBs or flamers on the side, or maximum melta style with MMs on the sponsons too. I think GW will photograph things at weird angles for the rumor engine, but for these type previews they have been more straightforward. I think it is clear it is rhino based, or very rhino derivative at very minimum. My first thought was repressor as a number of folks have said, but I think the argument for predator type is compelling. If this was AOS I would believe the more outlandish guesses over the reasonable. I believed the Lumineth were getting camel cav (a weird idea) when we first saw the recent silhouette previews, but I don't think anyone guessed they were getting kangaroo archers (even weirder).

Maybe the Blood Angels have finally shared the Baal Predator STC with the Sisters? Twin assault cannon, Flamestorm cannon, and some sort of thermal spear would fit the trinity. .

Looks like a Rhino body to me. And one thing that's consistent across all the existing variants(SoB and Marines) is the stubby antenna on the righthand rear of the body. So unless GW have flipped the image, its facing to the bottom right of the frame and viewed from slightly above.

Wouldn’t it be crazy if that text turned out to be about the suits previewed that same day that were super new, and not a model they hadn’t even rumoured yet? I think your logic leapt somewhat, there.
