Today is the Warhammer Fest day dedicated to "Boxed Games", who's betting the very existence of Cursed City will be wholly ignored?

Do you have a reading comprehension issue? I didn't say there was Tanith Guard incoming, in fact I explicitly said that they would not be an army of Gaunts Ghosts, but rather new Guard minis in general.

You're being overly literal here. GWs sculptors have been pretty damned clear, they don't just sculpt one model or one squad of guard or eldar or what-have-you, they always sculpt several units for the same faction at the same time. Theres more to the guard than a batch of 6 Gaunts Ghosts.

They were probably sculpted around the same time the other 2 one-off release Guard were, too. That's 8. That's a fairly decent batch for someone to do. I agree that these no more herald a new Guard revamp anymore than the other 2 did.

This would a very small batch relative to what we were told by actual GW employees who explicitly stated that they typically sculpt several dozen miniatures for a given faction at a time.

BSF had Lost & Damned units but there's nothing in sight on that front, nor Gellarpox Mutants or the Rogue Trader.

Nobody ever said that one model from a faction meant that the rest of the models would be released in short order. In fact, GWs sculptors also said that a lot of models are sculpted several years in advance of them being released, and there can be years between releases of models that were sculpted at the same time.

They've done a great job of lowering expectations each day. I don't expect much from today, either. We'll probably hear about the Necromunda box and a few releases, maybe the fish boys and some other Underworlds stuff, and maybe a bone for the other existing games. Not expecting anything earth-shaking, that's for sure.

Hoping for the AT Traitor Legions book.

At previous warhammer fests and similar events. Its information thats been out there for several years now, I'd provide exact sources but that would require a lot more googling than I can do while I'm supposed to be working.

I remember something similar being said! However, I think was ambiguous as to how far along the sculpting process actually goes. Sure they could have a set of 10 Elucidian star striders ready to go, but then they might have mocked up 10, started on the strongest 5 poses but then finished up with what they thought were the best 3 for example.

I'm not saying I know that's the case - but its an example of how things could go in a creative based processed like sculpting.

My guess for today is Fish Elves for Underworlds (which would be previewed tomorrow anyways with the new model of Underworlds previews), the new Delaque specialist box. Maybe a closer look at the upcoming Necromunda starter. And my stretch guess is something for Blood Bowl.....maybe a Chaos Dwarf team?

Nothing for Warcry, Kill Team, Aeronautica, or AT.

We'll see shortly though.

I’m just expecting the Underworlds band and Delaque that we know are coming today. Anything else is a bonus.

If BB gets chorfs, norse, amazons, or vampires i'll be thrilled. Gotta temper my expectations though, it's more likely we'll just get a look at Delaque and resin stuff.

I'm sure noting for warcry is gonna show, but that's what I REALLY want to see.
