Love the Orks, they’re really sweet. A slight issue with how quickly I noticed repeated bodies in the Boyz, but the designs are really cool.

Guard... should have just been a new kit. The new stuff is cool, but it’s not enough.

Oh feth you GW! Seriously, just sticking new heads on the cadian kit isn't going to solve anything, just remake the damn kit, such an unbelievable dick move!

The warboss in megarmor looks nice, but it's such a fething ripoff of the ArtelW iron boss model, which is still leagues ahead of what GW makes.....they should be ashamed honestly.

The new ork stuff all looks pretty awesome. Not a fan of Zog, mostly because I REALLY am nostalgic for the original who had better hair and beard but the other stuff is great. I love the Hog Squig with a wheel in place of it's hind honches.

I absolutely love the new orks, but the limited box set sucks, it'll sell out in 2 mins and the models won't be available seperately for a long time.

The Guard upgrade is a bit of a joke, I already have plenty of Cadian Guardsmen, not much point in buying slightly different ones, if they were a compeltely new sculpt I would've got some.

I wonder if the Grey Knights will become primaris or is that teaser just about a codex for them with no new models?

I am quite satisfied with today's reveals.

Oh... I have to say I am rather bummed by the IG upgrade sprue. It of course improves the kit quite a bit, but I was really hoping for a fully new kit as the proportions of the current one just are awkward, and this certainly means that we're stuck with these models to foreseeable future. But at least that is an answer, I kinda had put my guard on hold as I was anticipating new kits, but now as I know that no such thing is coming I can plan accordingly.

I’m not an ork fan at all, but I really liked those new orks. So much better than the old ones and I could actually see myself buying a few.

I feel bad for guard players though. Looks like the crappy old Cadian kit is here to stay.

Well I guess what they said in the live was true : you can use them with Necromunda kits to make unique soldiers.

Think it's more a case of the arms and hands are a bit disproportionate and off. You might be able to excuse the bodies but the arms and hands will be telling. Particularly with any officers, sergeants or specialists.

Yup, sadly the Cadians are here to stay, we can only hope they release more upgrade kits to modify that kit for other regiments.

While they really should’ve just made it 1 40K day, I’m super hyped about these orks. What they’ve shown for them so far is super awesome, I love the army box and keen for the new book. Can’t wait to see the rest!

We've got female guard before (say in Blackstone Fortress). They don't have boob armour, but they do have recognisably different waists/hips and slimmer hands etc, because otherwise it looks like you just glued a female head on a male body. Which, y'know. You have.

Also I think a lot of the new helmeted heads look comically oversized in general tbh. The elbows on the special weapons also share some of the worst parts of the existing kit.

I suppose this could just be a stop gap, and they are going to do an entirely new guard kit that is not Cadians. But you may be on to something unfortunately. Who knows, maybe GW will start allowing 3rd party guard models, since they don't want to make them themselves. Just kidding there, that would never happen.

To hold my anger for a second in, Victoria Miniatures has both Male and Femal models for most of there line. All together, there is enough of a difference.

Yeah, I thought that. I mean the hands are still oversized on the old kit, but the old heads were by far the worst offender.

Do you think there will be a multipart relase of all of them kits later down the line like with Sisters and CSM.

This was the low point of the week.

Can't fault the Ork part of it, but at least the Sisters were accompanied by more than a sodding upgrade sprue and a cough and whisper.

I *kind of* understand the thinking with the Cadian upgrade sprue as the GSC upgrade sprue really improves the kit. But it still seems like a huge missed opportunity for guard, I just hope we get other guard types in full sprue form to make up for it.

As a Chaos player, I guess I should just be happy I'm not a Xenos player

Super excited about 1000 Sons, hopefully we get new Deathguard soon, because those two subfactions haven't gotten nearly enough new stuff.

Now if you'll excuse I'm off to build my 3rd Edition Berzerkers I paid 65$ for last week and bought the same kit 15 years ago for $30. Ohh and I can't wait to glue my fine cast noise marines together what joy I will have.

It could also be that they have some more room in the production line for the clam pack sized upgrade sprues, hence new ones for escher, goliath, and now cadians. Also the upgrade sprue could be used with the cadian command squad as well.

This was a painful preview for my future wallet.

You're the one who started talking about boobs. If you think female bodies look identical to male ones, I've got some news for you, and for the GW sculptors who make a distinction in their other ranges. Even Eldar Guardians from way back in the dark ages have male and female options.

The better "defense" would be that the Cadians are deformed and anatomically inaccurate no matter what gender they are.

The scale is still off, their heads still look too big and their bodies look stunted. Those greedy fethers should have just made a new kit already, it kinda beggars belief how much GW is spitting into guard players faces. feth them.
And again, ripping off ArtelW with that warboss in megarmor is a major dick move, even though the model looks nice.
