The Astropathic Choir is complete! I really wanted to make sure that each member had a different skin tone, as that's something I've been pretty lazy about in the past.

From left to right:
- One of the original 40K miniature releases
- A Rogue Trader Adventurer
- One of the figures released for Talisman Timescape
- A figure released for 40K 3rd edition's Daemonhunters range
- One of the Regimental Advisors still available for the Astra Militarum range

@Freya: like commented on your IG post, I absolutely love that mini!

Last WIP picture I promise...

Finally got the thing built and base coated. It's a bit crooked and there are a few mistakes, but I'm quite excited how the body turned out.
Still held together with blu tack.

Off to painting...

My phones camera has gotten significantly worse since the latest updates to the OS. If the photos are too crappy please say something! I am looking at buying an actual camera here in a little... just need to get the one camera I want.

They seem a little fuzzy, but that might just be the size of the pics and the zoom. You can still see the amazing work you did on the model.

If you get better pics/camera, you can always upload more. Month isn’t over yet.

But time is ticking away. Especially if people are traveling for the holidays, keep an eye on the calendar.

Thank you for saying so! I realize my last submission had crap photos so I don't want a repeat lol

Well as long as you can see the detail I've done I'm gonna be okay with it. Though I am very seriously eyeing a camera for streaming / photos. So I'll hopefully have better pics in the near future...

A Protoss colony world

I'm actually still in this one, here's a WIP:

Most of the base colors are down at this point, plus I've already shaded and highlighted the Succubus's hair (plus I basecoated all the little metal hooks in it). I've also shaded the Haemonculus's armor and tunic. Still plenty to do on these three. Even at the end the models will only look so good mainly due to the fact that I didn't clean them up as well as I could have (one of the little quirks of 3d printed models is support residue and stuff which is not always easy to see before painting), but also because my printer isn't the greatest so some finer details were lost. Still, these have been fun to work on so far.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2024: 40 | Total models painted in 2025: 40 | Current main painting project: Tomb Kings

Bah. No Germany trip, therefore I’ll drop a robot wolf into the mix. Going to try for some darkness and OSL again.

OK, calling these guys done.

When the weather is cold out, the best way to heat things up is a little melta. Or a lot of melta! For being starter box monopose, these guys were pretty good on the detail. Fun to paint, and not a bad unit to toss into a list. More importantly, these guys are the final unit for the primaris demi-company that was my goal for the year. Much of which has been part of this contest for the last few years. Nice to get them done and on the Year-To-Date shelf, which needs to be integrated into the general collection some day soon.

Lots of great looking stuff out there, keep up the good work!

Nice. The colour scheme you chose gives it a bit of a biomechanical look.

A good-looking group. Are the names from 40K lore?

@Freya: Good work on the NMM and the cloth texture. Is the miniature a homage to something?

@Nevelon: Your snow-themed bases contrast really nicely with the Ultramarines armour.

Yep! Yerl and Korm are from ancient catalogues, Fennix is from a very early 40K novel (Chaos Child), Zarneck I got off the Lexicanum wiki but I'm sure it must be accurate, and Alen the Seer is from an old Citadel Combat Card.

Finished!
Hoped few layers of over-washing will produce "spotted" patterns in chitin to reduce actual painting. Kinda worked but not really. More test needed, was fun though.

Going to be entering Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme, from Marvel Crisis Protocol.

For those that follow my Instagram, you'll know I actually finished him yesterday, but I want to snap better photos of him with the DSLR for the entry photos.

For now, the proof (which was him up until about a week ago):

Thank you! She turned out better than I thought she would actually. My only disappointment is that I don't know if or when I can actually put her on a tabletop.
