Stream begins. Two balding, greasy and slightly obease middle-aged men with the combined charisma of a wet paper bag are sitting in a room with cheap, tacky 40k themed decorations.

Greasus the Unwashed: "Uh, erm, er, welcome to the stream guuys, we uh, this is a very, the best most awesomest double-plus-good year for Warhammer(tm)(copyrighted) and Games Workshop(tm) ever (tm)!
Obeasen, the Woman-Deprived: "Yeah, are you guys uh, er, excited for all the totally awesomest things we're going to show you today?"
(This continues for about half an hour)

A medium-sized model finally gets revealed. It starts with a black screen. Soon enough, copyright-free rock music begins playing as the new model spins, with several jarring close-ups on random parts on the model accompanied by bright white flashes. Greasus and Obeasen come back on screen, accompanied by a .jpg of the model on white background, with a giant "REVEALED ON WARHAMMER FEST 2022" logo slapped on top, obsucring a good third of the model's lower half.

G: "Yeah, uh, aren't you guys totally super-excited about this totally bestest thing ever? We love it so much!"
O: "CONSUME CONSUME CONSUME CONSUME BUY PRODUCT BUY PRODUCT BUY PRODUCT-"

[Shillsoomer, 18:49]: "Wowzers, best Warhammer model ever! I'm going to have my wife's boyfriend buy me TWENTY!"
[AverageFantasyFan850, 18:49]: "Grrrr Games Workshop where is my Old World Reveal! This is worthless!"
[Rommel1939, 18:49]: (A paragraph's worth of the user's opinions on women and minorities, in a heavily gramatically dubious fashion)

G: "Yeah that was an awesomest, bestest totally the most wonderful reveal! And that's just the begining! Tune in for the future for the rest of the bestest, awesomest, super-duper bestest ever-"

The stream cuts off, as the two hosts begin foaming at their mouth before falling on the ground unconcious, out of their sheer and pure LOVE for any PRODUCT and CAPITALISM. The events ends for today, after two hours and a single reveal.

Come in here expecting to see some proper pics and find page after page of the usuals defending poor lady GW from those dastardly leakers! How dare those voyeurs take a sneaky peaky!

Turns out the stream doesn't even start until 5pm, and it will just be full of waffling about nothing as they usually are. Oh well, time to wait for it to be over before anything of substance appears...

Remember that GW previews are regular previews in slow motion, and Warhammer Fest is a GW preview in slow motion. It's like slow motion cubed!

No they often show us new stuff, but just not very much stuff, hence the 'in slow motion' comment. You take 3-4 GW previews and combine them and it's more like a proper reveal.

The "like last year" thing refers to the fact that we knew so much of what was 'revealed' at Warhammer Fest '21 prior to the event, and not just from leaks; heaps of it was revealed by GW prior to the event, who then went on to 'reveal' them again.

And here we are, at another Warhammer Fest, and the week before has been leaky leak leaks.

I mean admittedly we haven't seen the whole model, but so far this looks meh. They wanted to walk back the camp of the original squats and yet still pay homage to them, but this looks like a middle point that is just disappointing for everyone.

Also, why would you wear an overcoat overtop of powered armour? What's that for? So the wind and rain don't cool you in your thick suit of armour?

I'm not going to watch them, never do, as they waffle about nothing for too long. Gonna make dinner instead.

You'll find most of the recent observations on this page are from people who assumed it had started as the thread exploded, which is usually a good indicator it has done so, but nope- we have a certain someone getting their panties in a bunch over "leakers".

Simply perfect. Like, it would be one thing if GW's previews were actually good. But when they're like... this? How's it going to ruin your day if you see the model? And again, even if it would ruin your day... what do you expect in a thread whose subject is Warhammer Fest in a subforum whose subject is News & Rumors?

It’s 40k today, so no Sylvaneth today. Although that does look like Sylvaneth so probably more general than specific to today.

Then, as an addendum, you don't have to post about how uninterested you are, how bad you find them, etc.

That's great. Top marks to you. But we don't need the same people coming out with their tight 15 on this every preview. It's tiresome.
