Well, they're Delaque, but there's no reason to use them only in Delaque gangs. They could be outcasts or freelancers (or spies in this case) offering their services to anyone.

And having one of those guys in your gang has the potential of a good story.

The new Doc model is on page 126 of the current rulebook - Vos Dargon - so we're just continuing the trend of all the Necromunda linework illustrations being concept art of the miniatures.

That model looks positively rock solid compared to the FW Tech-Priest.

As for the Delaque minis? Well, they're not really Delaque minis, so I'll pass.

In a change to standard procedures, the first four products listed will go up for pre-order in two weeks on the 16th of December. It’ll be a three-week pre-order period too, to accommodate Christmas postage, so the in-store release date is on the 6th of January.

It’s coming in hardback and ePub formats.

Yeah, that's an autocannon, not a heavy stubber.

Fortunately, the Venators can be upgraded with any weapon from the trading post.

I have a suspicion that it might just be the bundled up Apocrypha Necromunda PDFs from the WarCom website.

It does say "out of print" though, so they might include some of the dramatis personae from Gangs of the Underhive, and The Book of Peril/Ruin/Judgement that are out of print. I might buy it anyway, just to have them all in one place.

Maybe even the rules for the Delaque gang vehicle.

U - for Uranium Bomb!
N - is for No Survivors...

I wouldn't be surprised if this book does contain a lot of the pdfs that are currently free to download. It does mention "brand-new rules" though so we'll see if that makes it worth buying.

It also sounds like with a 2 week delay and then a 3 week preorder window; that GW is shutting part of itself down over Christmas (in contrast to a few previous years where they've run almost as normal right through).

This might be GW both tackling increased demand over the holiday season and also sorting out their warehousing issues. Hopefully the shut down of lots of new things going out will give them a chance to clean house and get things running a bit smoother.

Well I’m a slag for all things Necromunda, so will be getting it all the same.

As for the Ferret? That was a Cobra vehicle, essential a Quadbike with missiles, a cannon and twin diddy guns on the faring. Also repurposed as the Tiger Paw for Tiger Force, when it became wheels for the Joes.

I love the Taurus, can't wait to see the sprues.

Very versatile model by the looks of it. I can see this used by Orks, Genestealer Cults, Guard, Marine Scouts etc. Those wheels might be big enough to be used for Taurox and Chimera conversions and you get lots of them. The turret looks very easy to convert to other weapons. Very neutral look overall makes customization easier.

I hope it is a few weeks of slowed releases to allow their backlog of out of stock models to be caught up at their manufacturing plants and allow distribution to catch up. Numerous items have been delatyed to Australia in the last few months.

I think they’re pretty clearly saying it’s mostly the PDFs, but that’s still probably a purchase from me, just to have them nicely bound.

Isn’t that basically all chaos… well, everything? Except it doesn’t work on Slaaneshi cultists of course… and only intermittently on Nurgle ones… and Tzeentchi dudes probably don’t sleep, not while there’s scheming to be done anyway.

So a smidgen more expensive than other gang vehicles, but was to be expected as it's 2 different sprues rather than 2 copies of 1.

They are heavy stubbers because GW says they are.

Stubber barrels are usually only slightly thinner than autocannon barrels, unless the autocannon have the large, probably-water cooled barrel shroud (like on the plastic Exterminator turret). It is close enough that I wouldn't want to judge based on a picture of an unreleased model.

I think the length of the weapons is more telling- autocannon are typically longer. The only autocannon this short are the Sentinel autocannons.

Basically, if GW had said the Tauros weapons were autocannon, I doubt many people would have argued.

Does feel like a missed opportunity though- Tauros Venators can carry twin heavy weapons, like lascannons or multilasers. Autocannons would match this. Heavy stubbers are more in the "special weapon" weight class and there is precedent for quad stubbers as equivalent to twin heavy weapons. A quad stubber would have looked ace.
