Yes.

It's also why there's only 1 of each Melee weapon.

I want the melee weapons for a squad of Sanguinary Guards. The inferno pistols too. They go much better with the elaborate armour, I think.

finally good looking guard tanks in plastic

Very impressed with the Solar Auxilia, all looks great, the tanks especially.

SA got really nice plastics. Chonky Sentinels are great addition.

Only negative thing though for Solar Auxilia: No new rules. Well expect Sentinel.

Have you played the Solar Aux list? It's really good.

Also, I’m genuinely surprised and perhaps impressed they’ve not redone the entire list.

Haven’t all the Heresy plastics been a fairly decent saving over the resin?

The Heresy range is comparatively well priced, for GW kits.

Certainly everything so far has, if memory serves, come in a bit under expectation, and well under the resin kit price.

Which no, dear reader, is not to say “therefore it am the cheap”. Just, not as expensive as it might’ve been.

Well yes and no. More of an case getting their own book with more expanded options and some things fixed.

Are all the Malcador variants in the book? Defender, Infernus, Valdor? can we expect them in plastic at some point.

That is debatable, because it currently get's held up by a single entry. Which is the same that holds up militia lists aswell....

imo the malcador could lose some points.

Dracosan could also lose points.

Damn, these models look really good. This is what Heresy stuff should look like. Even the Russ, which is one of my least favourite GW tanks, looks good. I'm not so sold on the infantry, which look a bit stocky, but I'm sure they will grow on me.

I think the pricing over 40k seems decent because they are expecting players to generally buy a fair bit more of it for a larger army

that said, I may get a squad of the SA infantry, less to use and more just to paint up - the excuse being I need reference models for the epic scale, however enough for a small allied detachment could find employment

Honestly it's not the chasis that is imo the big issue. The big issue is that 50 pts is not the accurate pricetag for the WHFB mortar roleplaying as demolisher that we currently could slap on it. But yeah it could come down to 150 with gravis las.

Seems to be the same as the one on the Malcador, and I think the pintle weapons are the same, so I'm wondering if its a shared vehicle accessory sprue, like the one that has come with all the new asartes tanks?

Yeah, same here. They def looked thicc/chonky compared to the resin ones. That was one thing I always liked about the original ones - they looked like a lean, mean fighting force, especially compared to their 40k compatriots. I guess it was expected - the plastic Krieg are similar when you compare them to the FW ones.

Wont stop me buying them though, obviously!

And the tanks are all glorious.
