Is the rulebook going to be separate or just a part of the box... or for free online like the 40k rules?

The rulebook will be made available separately once the first few weeks of the box release are over; the rules will categorically not be free online.

I guess with this new edition I'll go back to staring at the "online only," & "Temporarily Out of Stock," tags on GWs site.

Ugh.

Can I ask you guys a favor, those of you who get the books soon, can you tell me if there are rules for small games or Zone Mortalis level gaming? I haven't seen anything online for it.

67,50€ for the MKII - I'll wait for discounters to get stock. Feel like its a bit much for 4 identical sprues, I suppose I just dont fancy em enough..

Thanks Dave!

And looks like that $300US might be right - or, given how GW does 'conversion rates" - maybe too low!!!

When I cross referenced the leaked GBP price a few weeks ago, it came to $310 in US GW conversion.

My FLGS just posted his pre-order prep list and the new box is $315.00.
The Liber books are 65 for the marines each and 52 for the others.

Give it a rest. All this is is GW overcompensating, yet again. The GW price hikes are as predictable as the proverbial Broken Clock, keeping time.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Straight conversion at the time of typing? £1 gets you $1.36.

So £54 is $73.32. The additional $11.68 isn’t terribly unusual for GW’s prices.

£54 = $100CAD, $112AUS and €62.57

So all have a bit of a mark up. Which is most likely explained by shipping costs, with the vast majority of GW’s goodies being made in Nottingham.

The Questoris book is reasonably priced when comparing it to 40k codicies... And I will buy it for the background work on Knights and Titans alone.

We've discussed around. Basically no one will be buying any of the books. The prices are outrageous. Base rulebook+Knights rulebook = 76 euros for half assed rules that will be outdated in 3 years. Thanks, I will use pirated pdfs instead
What's that? I also have Custodes, Mechanicum, and 1 of each loyalist and traitor legions? Well now, that would be around 230 euros, or a 6.4 monthly subscription. This is pure fething insanity.

I have decided to take the plunge and get the boxed set and the 2 Libers. However, this may be my last rodeo with edition churn; if this stuff is indeed made obsolete in 3 years, I will probably throw in the towel. Aside from the major issue with repeatedly re-writing the rules, which is that models and units that have been painstakingly assembled and painted get invalidated, there is something rather immoral about discarding large, expensive tomes like this on a regular basis.

My loyalist liber from v2 still has a shrink on it. No one wants it, I will just bin it

I have a few WH40k books that I barely looked at, including at least one rulebook that's still in its shrink wrap (I must have skipped that edition). We're moving house soon, so I'll be chucking out virtually all of the WH40k books and codexes that post-date 3rd Edition. I'm keeping my 2nd Edition Heresy rulebook and libers, however.
