Dang, another one that's so much better than 2.0. At this point we have to assume the old Specialist team was put in front of a firing squad and replaced wholesale.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

I like this!

I'm split over Hands and Warriors so being able to combine them into at least a small ZM army would be nice. I'm not into this game, but its good to keep options open if possible.

So I'm guessing, the plastic Warhound rumor could be true?
They just posted a Loremasters:Titans. And the incoming preview says "seismic news". Because, you know, when titans walk, the earth becomes seismic?

This pict in the article seems awfully relevant / timed to the reveal show coming up on the 7th....? Nice to see these models in a proper army shot for a change, looks so much better than a 40K Custodes army

Valrak suggests that there is a box set coming that will have the new Cataphractii, some of the new breachers and a Leviathan Dread.

He also says he hears that there will be a plastic Fire Raptor.

To be honest, I don't think we're going to see Custodes at this show, I suspect this box might be it and they'll leave the Custodes to the next show after Christmas.

Hard to know what they're doing at the moment to be honest, but apparently we'll be seeing Zone Mortalis this month so I'm wondering if it will be a mix of infantry / upgrade kits.

Two things I'd like to see is a MKII Command Squad and a flamer/rotor Veletaris unit.

We won't see a rotor Veletaris unit until at least the next Journal as the option was removed from the book.

Yikes, another Leviathan bundle would be terrible.... hopefully it's at least the melee version.

Shame, that would have been a good alternative for such a box.

I'm not saying they won't do that(and would love them to), just not to expect one until they have a book release with it in it. The Veletaris are definitely cut so that they can do an alternate weapon/arm sprue, so I think it's a when and not an if.

Plastic Fire Raptor sounds nice. I bet it could also come with the alternative bitz required for the other flyer that has the same chassis.. or at the very least, have as much shared sprues across the two kits as possible, with perhaps just one switched sprue per kit

If we get breachers, I hope the (supposedly upgrade kit?) box fits all the recent armour marks. MKVI Assault torsos could double up as beakie Breachers quite adequately..

I’m still not convinced of 28mm fliers. Even though the model is cool? Given I’d never use it, I most likely wouldn’t invest,

Storm Eagle!

They did both for Aeronautica, and the old kits were conversions of the Stormraven, so maybe additional sprues is all that would be needed.

I would get one of each!

Dunno if we're going to see any existing Fast Attack (whatever they're called now) units move to plastic this edition. It's the least fleshed out and overall weakest and hardest to access (apart from Dreadnoughts) segment of the Legions and there have been cuts to already meager loadout options. It feels like it's on the very bottom of GW's to do list (yes, below "invent new units") and shows classic signs of being sidelined because it's being saved for the big focus of a future edition.

Speeders could?

Given they’re usual low points, I for one can’t justify coughing up for the resin ones.

I have a resin Land Speeder and I'm still waiting for a plastic version. The old resin kit is out of scale with the new proportioned models, even if I converted a set of decent "rider legs" from a jetbike kit, the model would look a bit too big for the old resin seats.

At least we now have some in-scale arms from the rapier kit we could use for some of the controls.. but nah. As soon as I'd commit to such a build, the plastic kit would come out and it would still end up looking cooler than my converted resin one (lesson learned from wasting money on resin jump packs earlier.. the new plasitc MKII Jump Pack looks superior on the new models)

I'd be genuinely shocked if the Land Speeder wasn't plastic before the end of the edition, but I don't think it's imminent.

It may be sooner rather than later Y’know.

Speculation? It’s a cheaper price point New Thing That Isn’t Infantry. And something likely to be sold in multiples to a decent number of hobbyists.

Not gonna speculate on price of course. That’s largely pointless. But as a kit to sell new things to those on a strict budget? It seems a reasonable choice.

But this has all been true throughout the previous edition too, and, if anything, the FA section has received less love in 3.0 than in 2.0, I don't think it was even talked about much in the Saturnine previews. Here's hoping, but not holding my breath.

TBH this is of more interest to me than anything and will be make or break for 3.0 for me, which has largely killed off the pre-existing local groups. If 3.0 ZM is actually good I might make the effort to find new ones and try to make my armies fit the new rules despite my general distaste for it, because if not I'll be back to getting two games a year at Christmas when my gaming buddies from my teens are all back in town for family stuff.

Considering the last big rumour turned out to be true and HH has been drowned in the river of the 3-Year-Cycle, this being true or fake holds 0 interest for me anymore.

Hell, I've wanted a Fellblade since they first came out, but the price tag and working with a large mixed plastic/resin kit always put me off. Now there's a plastic one, and it's as expensive as the OG was all those years ago. I only bought the big box because it was on sale, and I've built a grand total of three models from it.

The plastic felblade assembly is a dream. Easy as the Spartan, none of the hassle of the weird kratos and sicaran nose assemblies, or the deimos rhino rear door problems.
