I like the shoulder pads and the armored leggings on the new Cataphracti more, but I prefer the torso and collar of the old Cataphracti. I'm not too fussed about the slender waist.

What I find interesting about the comparison pictures is that the old Cataphractii terminator in those appears to be incomplete. It seems to be missing parts 60 and 61, which should have been between the arms and those upper shoulder plates.

At any rate, the look of the new Cataphractii makes me happy I got a final box of the older ones while I could.

It’s more the overall shape. With Stormcast GW went through three ‘rapid’ iterations of their shape.

I wondered at the time the style of Primaris / Custodes / Stormcast influenced each other.

Not necessarily female, but iterations going from classic marine proportions and hunchback brute terminators to more humanish proportions

Isn't this getting a bit ridiculous? I understand the general reluctance to accept the proportions of the new Cataphractii - aesthetics are subjective, and Heresy players are traditionally a pretty conservative (and curmudgeonly) lot. And the weedy power fist is definitely an issue. But the changes are, objectively speaking, pretty minor - it's still essentially the same design; it's just been stretched to better represent a very tall man in heavy armour. Please let's not devolve this into a debate about female Custodes

Part of the strength of the AoS models is that embraced specific male / female bodies but more importantly the way they have iterated armour / body shapes.

I hope people are paying attention to this. The comparison pic is not set up to be very favourable to the old Cataphractii at all.

Terminator armour isn't a battlesuit. It doesn't lengthen you much (which is why I always thought the old Cataphractii were fine, height-wise - see comparison below with the new power armour). But it bulks you out a lot sideways since it's so thick, and the multilayered shoulders are an important part of that impression.

You mean the Talons of the Emperor army list? It’s been available for download from Warhammer Community for months. If you mean an actual physical book product, I wouldn’t hold your breath on that one.

PDF is garbage. Maybe good for something minor, like demons, militia, blackshields and the likes. Not for a major faction.

There was a pretty obvious tease towards Custodes in the next reveal show intro video. I'd reckon we will see Liber for Custodes etc alongside with some new minis on Jan 15th

In the sense that they have official models, I suppose? Numerically in the universe they're certainly smaller than any of those others.

It's been pointed out that one of the presenters is wearing a heresy Iron Warriors pin page, so hopefully there's some space marine units for 30k there too.

Interested to see the new Custodians, particularly whether this represents a break between the 30k and 40k ranges. I'm betting it will
