What could be cool is that if this is a Ghoul Character, for the model’s face to have some resemblance to that of the ruined statue.

I’m constantly surprised by the amazing work and detail levels people can get on minis. It would not shock me to see a model end up being a normal 1” scale when I thought that level of detailed highlights were not achievable on that scale.

GW’s painters tend to be pretty consistent though, and those highlights, especially on the nails, do not look normal to my eye.

Yeah definitely looks ogre/giant scaled though I've no idea what for..

More like good eyes, a magnifying glass and really steady hands. All things I don't have, so you know that I know what I'm talking about.

If it's just a regular old dude, the painter really put the work in.

A comprise, perhaps? Vampires have been unusually tall of late. Combine that with GW's super buff dudes aesthetic and matching, hammy hands and a "regular" sized sporty vampire may end up a lot easier to get that level of detail on than some poncy elf.

Could be a Star Player or Big Guy for a Vampire team? We’ve seen a pleasing symmetry of Blood Bowl releases lately, with a plastic team followed (sometimes preceded?) by associated Big Guys and Star Players.

It does look pretty big. It's not too bestial, talon wise. Maybe Ogre something or other?

Hmm something about those fingernails, the shape and colour doesn't look normal or natural. Where have I seen fingernails extend or raised up like that before, not sure.

Anyway it's probably something new for one of the niche or specialist games.

I wish it was a Blood Bowl Giant. So yeah I'll just say that.

Ghoulish BB?

The equipment looks too fine for a Giant or Ghoul to me.

I pulled up the picture on my phone and had sit it down, causing me to see the picture upside down, it immediately made me think of the hand jester of most of the 40k sorcerers. Could it be a new chaos hero or a Primaris Psyker for the Astra Militarum army.

Does not look like anything IG, especially with that knuckle duster. Chaos? Maybe but it seems more BB than 40k to me.

It kind of looks like a Kroot hand in layout (almost looks like two opposing thumbs and two fingers) but none of the rest of it screams Kroot to me.

Something about the bracer makes me think Necromunda.

Someone on Facebook suggested Zoats. Do they have double thumbs? It definitely looks like a second thumb on this photo.

I am almost positive it is a Zoat hand.
The Archivist model has 4 digits, with a second thumb type configuration.

Giant team for Blood Bowl. Instead of each figure being on a single base, each limb is based individually and has its own tackle zone.

I wondered Slaanesh blood bowl, but Kill team/necromunda zoat could work as well

I second blood bowl giant. The hand is too big and detailed, plus it has only four digits.

The 'knuckleduster' is a typical BB visual cue, so i'd say BB giant/troll/frankenstein/ogre or something like that. Albion Giants for BB, anyone?

Oddly no announcement at all about a GenCon reveal. Not so far as I’ve seen anyways.
