Heck yeah! I love how perfectly they fit in a grimdark future. I’ll have to save a horse or two to use with conquistador parts for a grimdark old world Voting Duke with dwarf-forged Glyphblade.

Very good... but I hope they don't delay Conquistador Cav or Afghan Cav for them.

New Plastic Release: Grognard Cavalry!
This set was so popular on our Atlantic Digital product line we have converted it over to bring out in plastic. The parts are off to file prep now and we should have a layout to show off in a couple weeks.

Here are some of the poses that can be achieved:

I want to like these guys, but they just aren't hitting the spot for me. The armour, especially the 'tusks', seems like a poor match for the Grognards' aesthetic (and the random armour plates are yet again very 'generic sci-fi'), and the horses are just a little bit too small, probably because they were meant to be typical historical horses, not the big warhorses I associate with 18/19th century cavalry, and not for the extra-chunky 'heroic' scale of Death Fields.

Hopefully not. I'm hoping that since we just saw a digital re-sculpt of the Afghan mounts that they will be on the way soon.

The News and Rumors section is all about surprises. I'd certainly hate it if we got 100 posts saying "I know something you don't know..." - malfred

Makes me want to make the Rough Rider Company list with Dragoons, Lancers, Hussars, Cuirassiers, etc.

Never will, but that makes it really tempting.

I'll give these a meh. I'm not quite sure about the style and I think the Damned Cav looks better. Still, I think they will find a good number of buyers.

Took a look at the digital version of the cav and I'm a bit more impressed. Looks like the odd flowy rubber sections are optional. If that is retained in the plastic kit, I think that'd be a good thing and a definite improvement to leave them off. Still like the Damned cav better, but that's just a matter of presence.

Why they have so long caparisons the horse would just step on it and trip breaking a leg? And how on earth do they flow ahead of the horse?

And yup, they are way too tiny, they look like Mongol half-ponies, not proper breed warhorses.

Another thing that bothers me, full length rifle (with a bayonet to make it even sillier - I invite whoever sculpted this to try and bayonet something from a horse and tell us how the buttstock hitting them straight in the face felt) instead of carbine? You know, that thing all cavalry through the entire recorded history used (especially if we count short cavalry bows as a kind of 'carbine' too) because the alternative just didn't work?

[and AGAIN, if you want to make 40K proxies, give them frakking kinda-sorta proxy weapons too, namely lances with explosive tips and other bits of futuristic melee/shooting they can take, this right here kinds kills the viability of the unit right now]

Forgive me if this was mentioned somewhere in this thread, but were we ever given a rough ETA for the Damned? Q1 or Q2 of 2024 was it?

the KS is projected to deliver May 2024, but they were hoping to do so earlier (but there were a lot of unlocks so whether that will still be possible?),

i'd imagine retail may run a bit behind, and probably not involve the whole lot dropping all at once

I'd gladly buy the not-French not-rough-riders but as others have said the barding/drapes/headpieces are all just a bit too much. Normal heads and the chestpiece without the cloth might look fine.

Has WGA posted a pledge manager for the Damned campaign? I searched my emails but I have been so busy with work that I could believe I missed it in the Spam folder.

No it's not happened yet,

Charlie posted in the comments about a week ago that it was waiting for gamefound approval so its likely to be very soon (unless a glitch has been found they need to solve)

Zombiesmith posted painted photos of the plastic quar on thier facebook page.

Since Wargames Atlantic is producing these, I think they go here?

There’s even a PS4 game about the Quar. It’s weird where they pop up

They are working on it.

Waiting for the update but they’ve said the EU VAT offset will be done on a case by case basis after you close the pledge.

No need for swearing.

Now, time to sort out what fifty odd sprues I want.

I am so in trouble if I don't manage to hide this delivery away before the Long Haired Admiral sees it.

A "PC" game too, though it's VR only.
