Well, this went quickly. Not counting drying times, I was able to put him together in about an hour.
Flaming hot lead sing is next, although it may take longer, as I don't have a clear idea in my head of how I'll do him.

I used a lot of water while working on it and it helped. I hope the flames paint up nice.

Just start cutting and gluing. I just made things up as I went along.
OK, this is absolutely, positively, the last piece I'm making for this Kill Team board. I mean it! The last piece.
Really...I'm 95% certain of this. Mostly...
This is a garage work area for vehicles. It is a matching piece to the pumpjack, as far as footprint, height and line of sight blocking.
I still need to make a bunch of tiny tools and one more block and tackle. It will have a chain for hauling up things like an engine block.
The weather did warm up enough to get more building pieces primed and the two ork band members. So, some painting is in coming. That's it for now, Thanks for coming by.

Ha!, I did not think of that.
Second block done. This little round nose pliers is great if you like to scratch build.
I highly recommend one. This allowed me to make my own size of steel rings and hook for the block out of straight wire.
You don't need to search a craft store and hope they have something similar you can use. I have even made my own anchor chain for a ship model once.
I just realized today, I have not painted an ork since 5th Edition. So, I can't remember how I did my old ones and will need to come up with a new way.
I am thinking with Army Painter paints: Greenskin base, wash with Ghillie Dew, heavy dry brush with Greenskin again and then a lighter dry brush with Goblin Green as a high light?

Thanks, I haven't decide if I want to have the block & tackle holding up something or not.

I was fortunate that I bought a bunch of the old metal ork heads back when GW still sold bits.
Nevelon wrote:Always envious of Orc players and the ability to make cool stuff from plasticard. Well done.
Thank you, it's fun to do, but a lot of the Imperial stuff is very flat-sided too. I've also built a number of Imperial vehicles and flyers.
OK, I am now done building...I think...
Hand tools done.
Engine done.
Engine trolley done.
The engine is a remake of an engine I did for my own Kill Krusha tank legends many years ago.
It is a super charged, air cooled, big block V8. I thought it would look nice in the maintenance area. I want to paint it, but it is 36 degrees F out side, so no way. I'll just finish off the other stuff I did get primed earlier. By the way, did Kill Krusha tanks go to legends? I know the model itself is no longer sold.
So that's it...
...I do want some ork Quonset huts though...No...No... No...

Thanks to all of you very much! It does help with the motivation to build.
I did get some painting in. The bar tables and the eight modular barriers are done.
You can't have a proper bar fight without tables and chairs to throw.
Just need a day in the 50's that isn't raining and I can prime the tools and garage.
I also received a box of ten nice plastic trees from Dungeons & Lasers in the mail.
So that may be what I do while I wait on the weather.

This is the first ork I've painted in a very long time. It's OK, but I don't think it's right.
I need to prime up a few of my ork boyz to do some test on. I have a massive number of unpainted orks, so I need something fast and simple.
I'm thinking gray primer with a dry brushing of white or yellow. Then a combination of speed paint and regulator paints.
The guitar player is already primed in black, so it will probably get painted the same as the drummer so they match.

Thanks, I think I have enough for a fully loaded Kill Team board.

The bands back together again! I'm ready for burning man now.
So that's finished and I did get the garage mostly painted today. I also found in my archeological digs some old GW resin terrain I think came out as part of the original apocalypse book release. I think it's wasn't sold by Forge World, but by GW directly. I painted it up in the same colors as the rest of the ork terrain.
