Grey Knights won't be 'primarized'. Remember they have unique geneseed and gear, so you wont see them suddenly all in MKX armour with knee rims and tactical rails all over them.
They will be upscaled of course when they are redone, but you can expect them to be redone without much changes to their look, like Castellan Crowe.

Why can’t they use an adapted Mk. Xψ (psi) variant? Maybe they can use their psychic powers to boost it if they can’t adapt Cawl’s extra implants.
Literally nothing stopping GW from doing that. Also, MkX with GK style helms would look great.

When most people say 'primarized' they just mean upscaling / updating. The term has become increasingly meaningless when GW themselves have walked back so many of the Primaris unit distinctions, such as Terminators & Scouts.

Surely Crowe's massive size is a sign that he's relieved the Primaris embiggening implant?

Crowe is wearing entirely firstborn armour, mostly in the style of Mk8 - he is just rescaled like CSM

I'm not suggesting that they'll all be wearing MkX Tacitus armour, but I absolutely believe that they'll be Primaris when the range is updated. They'll either explicitly say that they are, or avoid mentioning it either way. I don't think there's any chance of any future Marines being linked to firstborn, including Deathwatch.
In the same way that modern Chaos Marines are still rescaled and share some common Primaris design cues, I expect to see new Grey Knights with the proportions, armour design and vehicles of Primaris.

We've already seen explicitly Primaris Deathwatch in that teaser trailer last year.

To be fair, the Templars Pyre Pistol is str 4 at least. If it weren't for the sword option, I'd always go with a Pyre Pistol.

No, he has just been rescaled to the current normal marine size GW use. Like the MK6 and 3 models in 30k. His armour is the same as the previous model.
Remember Grey Knights gene seed is different to regular marine gene seed. Automatically Appended Next Post: Mr_Rose wrote:Why can’t they use an adapted Mk. Xψ (psi) variant? Maybe they can use their psychic powers to boost it if they can’t adapt Cawl’s extra implants.

Why would they though? Their armour is already advanced and bespoke. No need to stick unnecessary bits on them to fulfill a false expectation that every marine in current 40k needs to be 'primarized'.
Making them look too close to the generic marine range would detract from their unique status.

Cawl was supposed to have access to ALL the geneseed to work on it. I suppose he could have worked with GK geneseed too. After all, the founding members of the GK were all from other chapters, and they got a stockpile of GK geneseed from mysterious sources. It's not beyond belief that Cawl had a hand in the initial creation too.

Malcador (who was the driving force behind their creation, also cranked out a human/Eldar clone) would've left enough information behind to keep his secret soldiers going forever.
Remember, they moved a Martian forge-moon to Titan, Deimios (which has its own Knight House: House Steel), have the STCs to make every Imperial weapon of war, have a planetary cloaking device, and their own ships.
If Cawl had access to any of this, he could easily build something new.
But I don't think he did.
Remember, the GKs are a secret weapon, unknown to most Imperial organizations, even other Adeptus Astartes are unaware of their existence.

New pods are way, way easier to build than the old ones.
Part of me is really happy they keep the iconic drop pod in this day and age.
Drop pod assault need to be an option, even if its not as important in today with small tables/large models.

Agree. Drop pod assault is one of the iconic SM moves. And not just meme “steel rain” DoW stuff. I was always a high-risk, high-reward playstyle and a lot of fun. Even if you didn’t go full null-deployment, I built a lot of lists back in the day that had a scouting/mobility element on the table, and then a hammer drop down from orbit
Nice they they keep most of the design cues. With the doors locked open, they are going to be real hard to get from home to the FLGS though. Even the old ones where you could close the doors took a huge amount of space in the case.

So the Typhon box for Kill Team is out and I was looking at the Battleclade servitors and noticed they have two heavy bolter modules for the gun servitors, even though the KT squad can only use one. Possible hint at weapon options for the unit in 40K?

Huh, so they don't. How weird.
I mean I was expecting the specialists to completely disappear but not even having the option to use the second HB is a headscratcher for sure.
Bonus fact: the shoulder mounts for the new gun servitors are fully compatible with the one from the Inquisitorial Retinue kit. Which is actually kind of annoying because I wouldn't mind a Heavy Plasma Gun in my Battlecalde...
