Mostly, on my phone.

Not here to abuse the system. Just took a notion to paint something. I mean, we're all chums, hopefully. Anyway, my liberal interpretation of Space Marine (Captain Marvel) is likely to be far more contentious

Got my orcs done. The old (the little guy with a spear had 1985 on his base) through to the sort of new (a couple of the soon to be re-released plastics)

Remember, extensions are a thing. While the end of the month is Thursday, if people need a little extra time, we can bump things back to Friday if someone asks.

I'm going to actually request that this month is people don't mind, I'm away for most of tomorrow, with it being a short month anyway Friday for getting photos etc up would be a relief.

Sure, we can do that. I’ll push the deadline out until midnight Saturday, which will give everyone 2 days, one of which is a weekend. Let’s end this round on a high note, get those protects done and polished!

Request already granted. Take you time, get it right! But not too much time, still have some sort of deadline...

It will be my first, and I have quite a few Dark Angels to get through once I start that project. This guy will be a prototype I suppose…

Bring on March!

I agree, it will be good to have this push to paint more of my space marines. I have too many Dark Angels waiting for paint.

Paint as many as you can and pick the best 5.

It’s been a while since we’ve done a month without the 5 model cap. Should get that back on the menu at some point. Not next month though. Keep it simple for the start of the cycle.

Ex-Starforce as well though, that'd satisfy the Painting Challenge Appeals Tribunal I'd guess.

We still have a couple days extension on this month, but go get started on your marines:

The brig is currently at capacity, so no throwing people in irons at the moment. And save the zeal for fighting the xenos who will surly try to disrupt our marine ways.

Best have a holy handgrenade on hand...

Okay, right, so I wasn't happy with the way the exodites have been going - the paint scheme just isn't gelling and I'm not sure how I'm going to fix them, yet - so instead for the past few days I've been furiously painting witch aelves in order to have something to submit. I've managed to get two painted of a batch of ten that I got cheap(ish) on ebay (proof pic below)... and promptly realised why they were cheap: with the hair already glued on, it's effin' difficult to paint anything round the back! Ah well, two done anyway.

I've been kicked out of my study by visitors, but I'll try to get my photography setup done elsewhere at some point tomorrow. In the meantime, I've also attached a proof of completion. Oh, and they're "in with the new" because they're the very first Age of Sigmar minis I've ever painted. In fact, I have a feeling they are a holdover from the previous Warhammer Fantasy range, so I guess they're "out with the old", too.

All that's left is the claws. I'll definitely finish before the deadline tomorrow.

The Rogue Traders are done!

Here we have Neyam Shai Murad, which is I believe the newest rogue trader sculpt, having been released with the original Combat Arena game. Also a figure I've dubbed Septimus Greggor, who appears in the original WH40K Rogue Trader rulebook, though he went unreleased until Wargames Foundry started selling him in 2015.

cheers Nev, much appreciated. I won't get the 5th one (Standard Bearer) done in time so just submitting these 4 Knight of the Realm. I tried to go for quite bold colours and couldn't resist some Goblin green bases with a bit of flock

We have in
Yellow and Black - Jasperre d'Outraal
Dark Blue with Stars and White top band - Bors le Blanc
White with Green checkered line - Courageux messire Robin
Red and Blue - Crespin de la Riviere

I had these 'finished' a couple of days ago, but the extension let me make a better job of them.

Mollog the Mighty!

he says you can have a mushroom for the extension.

"In with the new"

I tried a new technique "slap chop" and used what contrast paints I had along with some other thinned paints, fun model to paint glad I picked up a couple when he was out in the weekly mag I'll save the other one for when I'm better at painting.

Here's my entry, two Witch Aelves painted in Juan Hidalgo's 'eavy contrast style, my first attempt at painting AoS and doing full minis in 'eavy contrast. I really enjoyed painting these two and it got me thinking I might make an eclectic all-female warband out of various heroes and troops from the various AoS ranges. So Stormcast, Cities, Elves, maybe even a chaos girl or two...

Nice work CancelledApocalypse! The contrast style really works!

Due to the extension, I managed to get my entry finished after two days of quite extensive painting!

First bust I have painted, so it offered many interesting challenges, like all the different textures.
In the end, I'm really happy how it turned out.

OK, got them in on time. Was a little worried this month.

So the old guy is one of the 3 oldest minis in my prime pile. Had kitbashed him out of mostly GK bits with a little Ultra flair. And then he collected dust for a few years. The new guy is new from the Leviathan box. I can’t say he’s leading the way for my modern terminator force, as he’s the last of the TDA HQs to cross over to plastic. But he is ahead of the squads. Which I should really get cracking on.

And with them done, my old metal librarian can take a well earned rest. Unless I need him to lead my old lead terminators again...

Out with the old, in with the new...
