My proof pic is a bit of a wonk this year because of having to finish a glottkin first and forgot to take the proof pic before starting work on the necron beepboop -_-
But its the same model, and this time you'll have to believe me that I wouldn't try to fool anyone, already did the first few color layers and some lighting effects so cannot use the actual mini anylonger as proof but literally just started yesterday on it anyway (and don't want to start over because I also need to ready next months challenge entry) sorry sorry sorry

All done. Sabre-Gaia, Escher ganger turned Pit Slave rebel leader, and The Iron Maximus, ex-champion pit fighter turned cranky mentor.









Fun stuff. Big throwback on the bases, since I wanted to sort of match the rest of the gang. Which I painted in the 90's. Not sure why I felt the need to add models, but whatever, the gang is fully painted again.

Droids (mostly):

Those droids have come up really well, Geifer! Especially Artoo. And you obviously got a really good, smooth finish on the Greenstuff for your Twi'lek sculpt!

Youwashock, they look great! I love the classic yellow/black stripes on the chainsword.

KidCthulhu, those tiny early Rogue Trader sculpts are always tough to paint - I reckon that colour scheme does the job, though! The highlights look well blended too.


My attempt at a robot sculpt has not gone well, unfortunately. I was rushing it to try and meet the deadline, and I'm really not happy with the way it looks. I can't find anything else robot, cyborg, or elemental in my shame pile, so I'm going to have to drop out. Sorry everyone, and good luck with the painting/votes!

the wip btw of the necron boop, was after the first day of painting so I'm sure I can finish it before the 31th.

Well due to an unexpected bit of extra free time I have managed to finish up my entry. Bit of an awkward model this one and there are a few things I felt a little rushed but overall I’m happy with the result…

P.S. I’ve just realised after uploading my pics I have forgotten to paint the highlights on one area! Lol. Never mind… hopefully none of you notice…

Thank you. Of course layering a thousand coats to get a pleasing yellow or orange has a bit of a leveling effect as well.

That's a shame of course, but it's probably for the best not to compromise on quality too much. Never feels good to me when I decide to give flaws a pass.

Going to sneak this drone in late.

Waited basically the entire month to find motivation but now I commence.

Finished my Necron for beep boop right on the finish line ay.

Anyway, tried to make this necron look fully electrified with as visible as possible almost translucent current going through its body.
Used a lot of layers of different pearl greens and blues to make that happen, with as its base layer psychotic greenstuff world paint (of which not much stll shone through when I was done with it xD)

With resources low, some old XV88 broadsides have been pulled out of storage. With maybe a few parts missing, but I'm sure they'll find the spare parts later. And hopefully some new paint.

Beep Booping onto the battlefield a pair of teleport homers. Leading heroes on an epic journey through the warp. Flipped the colors for the lights to keep them distinct. When I do the sarges for the terminator squads I’ll try to incorporate the primary color so there are now mix-ups in transit. And give them names from classic greek literature. Beacons “Iliad” and “Odyssey” reporting for duty. Or “Beep” and “Boop” to their friends (but don’t ask me which is which)

Here's my scratchbuilt Drone just scraping in before the end of the month. I'll add a Hawk basing widget under it at some point. Went fora heavily battered piece of industrial security equipment look rather than military gear.

Its gone Midnight now so ill stop painting even though I was on a roll.
