I think one thing to note is I presume that is for a killteam table, so guessing half of what you'd want for a 40k table.

MajorWesJanson wrote:Volkus terrain is nice, but not modular at all, which is the appeal of the sector imperialis/mechanicus kits
Actually, it was demonstrated in this very thread that some parts of the Volkus terrain set, the Vertigus walls to be precise, are indeed compatible with the Sector Imperialis terrain to a degree - see pict
The Volkus terrain has a specific build instruction for the KT24 Hivestorm missions, but there is no reason why you can't just roll your own, if you will not be playing those missions. There are a lot of visual cues matching the Battlezone: Fronteris terrain, for example, would probably be just a matter of some cutting and glueing to get them to talk to each other..

And that's exactly what I need in my case! Just some nice looking scenery to complement what I already have! Also seems great for Combat Patrol games!

I would definitely pick up a few sets of the Cities of Death Manufactorums if those ever get the MTO treatment.
My biggest gripe with the Cities of Death parts is that there weren't any plain windowless sections. The gothic windows and panels full of skulls were all fine and good, but a few blank section would have allowed people to make some more useful (and realistic) structures.

Given that the sprues from the Manufactorum are still available as the Sanctum Administratus for £50 with discount (which is equivalent to 2 x the manufactorum), it is going to be interesting what they are going to be charging for it.

Sort of. Manufactorum has 2x mechanicus wall sprues and 1 floor sprue, Sanctum Administratus has 3.walls and 2 floors.

Indeed, I too realized the Sanctum Administratus kit already has the Mechanicus sprues, so wont be getting those as MTOs. Which is actually good for me, with cash being tight and all.
Better to just get a Sanctum Administratus kit from an LGS with financing at this time..
Are these MTOs supposed to be up already? Its the 25th

Prices are not horrible, but still high enough for me to settle just for the objectives for now. I'll know by 6th of Jan if I can afford more..

I'm pretty sure they are the same prices they were when they were discontinued, so it was never going to be less than that.

Perhaps they are. Just goes to show I haven't bought 40K terrain sets outside of Kill Team boxes in a while..

I have the sector, pretty sure the tag on the box says 100 EUR, now it's 100 GBP. So about 20% hike... which might be modest compared to some GW kits in the same time frame.

Same! I'm so sad I didn't prioritise it when it was available as I figured as faction terrain it would stick around.

There’s nothing stopping you using these for Necromunda. But, like the Sector Mechanicus stuff these are pretty tall. Each floor is 6”, and has a significant footprint.
They also lack greeblies, like guard rails, so from one side they don’t offer much cover. Not necessarily undesirable, and nothing some scatter terrain can rectify, but worth knowing.

I really don't think so
If you actually want to play Ash Wastes, I'd sooner add... the Gang Stronghold, any Battlezone Fronteris stuff or maybe the current Kill Team zone (Volkus, was it?)

I would say so, especially if you can bury it partly in sand, make it look like a lost town or city.
Volkus however might be cheaper and fit even better.
