So my standing google alert for Warhammer and India turned this up. Mekuva is a legitimate company so this could be really interesting. The images might be hard to read so I pasted the text here:

Mekuva Technologies partners with Games Workshop Ltd for STC 3D-Printing Pilot Program

Bangaluru: Mekuva™, the world's leader in 3d industrial printers, is proud to announce our partnership with Games Workshop Ltd™ to offer rapid custom 3d printing in their flagship Warhammer™ stores. Beginning April, 2025 customers in select Warhammer™ stores will be able to design and print custom models for Games Workshop's popular line of Space Marine™ models. Using our exclusive STC™ software customers can choose options such as different weapons, poses, helmets and even "Chapter Icons". As the program grows customers will also be able to design characters for the popular Stormcast™, Tyranid™ and Leagues of Votann™ lines.

Rakesh Verma, Mekuva's Senior Vice President for Development said "The popular Warhammer™ games have always given players the ability to create iconic heroes such as Space Marine Veteran Sergeants™, but suitable models were not always available. Now Mekuva, in partnership with Games Workshop, is giving customers the power to design their own models with our exclusive STC software and then print them on a Mekuva machine right in the store. Players will be able to choose from up to ten different heads, over a dozen weapons, and five different Chapter Badges. The options are almost limitless."

Simon P. Wolfson, Games Workshop’s Senior Advisor on Emerging Technologies added, “Back in the earliest days of the IP when our models were still made of metal, customers who wanted to customize their models actually had to cut apart existing ones and reassemble them! Thank goodness we are past those dark days.”

The 3D-printed STC models will use Games Workshop's new proprietary Goblin Green™ plastic mix. As part of Games Workshops pledge to meet UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2036, this material eliminates plastic waste, biodegrading in about five years. Gareth F. Littlefield, Games Workshop's Managing Director for Environmental Initiatives said "This is not only good for the planet, it also fantastic for players since it allows them to constantly refresh their collections with the latest and the greatest rather than allowing old models to gather dust." STC pilot programs will initially launch in a dozen "flagship" stores this year in Nottingham, Brighton, Dallas, Hong Kong and Mumbai with plans to go global in 2026/early 2027. For more information please contact Mekuva at mediacontacts@mekuva.com or Games Workshop Ltd at pressinquiries@gwplc.com

Wait, that doesn't make sense... The US has the Central Time Zone. Isn't it named for being the Centerpoint for the Earth?

The models having a limited life span and them trying to spin it as good for the players is pure GW cheekyness though ^^

Well, I gotta admit, you got me. When you do this year after year, and I've been here for nearly two decades, and you get me, it either says you're a genius or I'm a moron. I'll leave it to readers to decide which is true.

Thank you all, I hope you enjoyed this.

But y'all won't be laughing as hard in a year when GW switches to Goblin Green (tm) biodegradable plastics for all their kits!
