Not yet finished, but making some progress on the Lictors (and a few more Nids at the same time-ish).

Great work everyone! We’ve got a week left, unless anyone asks for the extension.

Remember no vote for next month, as we had a tie for this one. We’ll be painting:

From the Archives: Librarians, archivists, researchers, wizards, inquisitors, - or old classic minis from the vaults! Knock the dust off the old tomes and bring them to the light. Dig something up from the forbidden stacks.

I finished my Astropath and he looks good, but he's hardly anything that's gonna win any prizes...

Any painted mini is a win against the grey legions. And an incremental step into bettering yourself as a painter and hobbyist. Well done.

Yeah. Is painted and looks good sounds like mission accomplished to me.

Me, I'm taking my time this month. Clint doesn't wear a complicated outfit, which makes it viable to paint at a leisurely pace this month and, ahem, get thoroughly distracted by a video game or two. Might have picked up the pace a bit though, had I known it was going to get unduly warm in late May.

Still, no need to rush anything. There are only a few small bits missing washes and highlights.

Finished the hunted for my month's entry. Tried a new set of acrylic markers on their clothes. It was fast but had issues painting the edges and deep folds of the figure. Painted a horde of 20+ aliens for two friends using a few Vallejo color shifting paints.

Hello everyone

In an unusual turn of events for me I've actually finished early! Figured I'd do some painting while trying to stay cool (hot in UK atm for May)

I'm really happy with how this Diorama turned out, its fun with a good story and it gives me a good feeling when I look at it so counting that as a win. It will be displayed up front in my cabinet.

I’d offer some sympathy, but that’s like me every month.

To be fair, if you posted the pic it would probably take us like 10 minutes of scrutiny to find the “glaring” mistake. But it’s so easy to see our own flaws.

I regularly take photos of my models WIP specifically to see where I've missed somehow I still miss some glaring ones!

Some great entries so far, I got a few basing bits and I'll take some more photos of mine tonight.

Lovely entries coming in. Nice work all.

After a great deal of procrastination I managed to get the head space for a colour scheme for my Umbral Caimans. Here is the first, hunting in the dark. Very happy with the green OSL, but the red needs work.

Hey look who finished on time (if you count fact that they aren't varnished yet...)!

So first of all, I noted was going to throw some stuff I hadn't painted from April in on top of the hunter I originally posted up, but never reposted that pic so here is that proof (though its the same photo from last month):

Spoiler:

Now for the final photos. The Hunter is obvious, the Giant is basically an apex predator so that is obvious, and the guy with three guns is because I wanted to paint up my Bruiser finally for my Ogres, but I guess you can stretch 'has a gun' to 'hunter'.

Spoiler:

They are still on their paint stands since they are not fully varnished yet and I didn't want to handle them before doing that, though I suppose 1 coat has been done since I took them. Also man I had so much trouble with autofocus on these, as the pictures can probably show. Not going to pretend they are high art, but I am very happy with how they turned out.

That's Captain Edgar Magpye and The Beast completed. Picked up some nice autumnal leaf scatter to sprinkle on as a finishing touch.

@Flinty love your Caiman! The OSL is really cool

Finished painting and took the photos with 2 days to spare? Thats a first for me.
Actually i think it took me 2-3 days each to paint but i only managed to paint them and a Hulk mini this month with the free time i had. I guess 3 is more than 0 so...

Anyway 2 hunters from Runar. Orvar and Namid.

Thanks! I originally planned to paint it in a way more complex way. like each feather individually... But after the first two washes it turned out really good so i just darkened some parts on the back and called it done.

Noted.

We will add at least a one day extension due to technical difficulties. I’ll keep an eye on the thread in the N&B section. If it take long to sort out we’ll go for 24 hours after it’s resolved.

If you are done and are having problems, post here to let us know, and I’ll hold off closing the month until everyone who has said something gets pics in.

I like the skin tone on that astropath, KidCthulhu. Very pale and unhealthy!
