Nice to see them coming back, even if only for an MTO. Loved the Medusa V campaign from way back.

They're lovely. That's about the sweet spot of miniature detail for me. I miss that era.

I still remember the eye watering prices from the Steel Legion MTO... I wonder why 40k MTO minis are always so ovepriced when TOW MTO minis are usually reasonably priced (by GW's standards)?

My favourite line of minis that GW produced, used to have a lot in my collection back in the day.

These are really great miniatures. If the prices are anything like the Steel Legion MTO then they're too rich for my blood but they're lovely.

I'd love to have them but if they're priced like the previous Steel Legion MTO, its going to be a no go.

In the meantime, I'll settle for WGA's Les Grognards.

This release appears to have everything except the dead bodies and one of the Sergeant models.

I still haven’t touched my £800 2018 MTO Vostrayans so this may finally give me the push I need.

Also, GW if you're reading this: bring back the Eldar Bonesinger MTO. Pretty please.

Would be a fun allied detachment for the other traitors in horus heresy. Alas, I really dislike their design.

But they'll likely be $95 for all three, which will be a no-go from me. Especially since I'm still waiting for a ship notice on my MTO Steel Rook.

December 2018 but still 2018. I ordered on the final day and I still received a massive box of metal within 3 weeks. Nowadays it feels like MTOs take 6 months to ship a single plastic model.

Most figures are about an ounce of white metal, and that costs about $3.50 per ounce. I'm sure there are some other reasons why it costs so much, but 95 dollars? Geez, for that price, I could probably buy the original figures with a lot of deal hunting on eBay, and stripping all the paint off of them

I'm thinking of hitting eBay for some gently used originals.

Vostroyans don't really do anything for me, but if they did a MTO for Praetorians, I'd probably drop an insane amount of money on them even if the prices were like the Steel Legion MTO that has become so infamous on here.

I love the Vostroyans and am happy for the opportunity to pick up a platoon for my Guard army.

It is my favourite regiment, that I missed an opportunity to pick up when I was a kid.
I’d probably go for 1 of each set they rerelease. If it’s going to cost me less than £150. So Armageddon box - bye bye, my frivolous spending will be directed elsewhere.

I am a bit salty they stuffed the platoon with just las cannons instead of 3 different weapon teams.

Wonder what happened to the other sergeant?

It varies greatly, with the TOW Empire MTO there was someone on Reddit who got his 40+ metal halberdiers within weeks.
The one constant seems to be that I always have to wait the longest

Would be nice to get a couple of new sculptors as trial/early miniatures to complete the special weapon (melta gun) and heavy weapon ranges - need autocannon and missile launcher

Not a bad choice. I put these together a few years back.

I really really want these, but yeah, the pricing is going to be prohibitive. Might settle for the command squad and a couple of the sergeant type models, and as folks are suggesting, bulk it out with trusty Grognards.

GW sets their prices by what people will pay, 40k has a much bigger community means more whales means they can pull more money out of people.
I imagine there's also a practical element of limiting their orders, they probably don't want to get bogged down casting millions of orders they might get with more reasonable prices.
