I mean we have guesses but it seems by now we ought to know what the next 40k book is. IG? Space Wolfs? The even more annoying Space Elfs?

I've been told Space wolves is up next (jan - Feb) accompanying the Space Marine wave 2.

Marneus, Abbadabbadoon and Eldrad all drinking egg nog and singing together about the true meaning of Christmas, after an adventure involving Abbadabbadoon's typical hyginx that ends well for everyone.

So, how long until we see the new IG codex then? Anything solid on this?

Not that I'm waiting for it, since I'll probably have to redo my IG force when that time comes,
but it is still good to know

Rumors from my FLGS are:
Ork Wave 2 hitting December or January.
IG are first quarter 2009, maybe even an April release (which would technically be second quarter).
And probably at least one month that's light on releases, maybe a few collector range or LotR figs, but not much else.

Sometime later in the year, will be the second Daemon and SM waves.
Space wolves are looking more and more like end of 2009. Maybe they'll be the Xmas 09 Spearhead.

i know zagstruk will be released, theres talk of snikrot, and even a plastic stompa and grots.

ill be fine with just the stompa (they allways say they cant make large modes, yet now they are starting on forgeworld size things)
does this mean we are free of crappy moulded FW models?

Why Yes! Yes it would!

December is quite the sucky month except for the thrill of ringing up huge loads of GW stuff and taking people's money. I'll be in the shop over 100 hours a week. Mall opens most days at 6am and closing at midnight. Somewhere around the 24th at 6pm, I sneak off to buy whatever is left to buy, stuff it in my kids stockings, and if all goes well, do nothing but sleep and eat all day the 25th.

So dump out your wallets and burn out your credit cards. Make your local store have a very merry christmas. Otherwise SantaOrk will come down the chimney, steal all your figures, and put a bolter shell between your eyes while your sleeping.

What do we know about the new Dreadnought? Is it a special, or just an upgraded kit? I've been debating buying one of the Mk IV Dreads from FW, but I can't justify the price... it'd be neat to see a comprehensive Dread box like the new LS with some of those options.

They don't want to release their plans more than 6 months because they're not sure they'll be around in 6 months?

Next year Necrons and Dark Eldars are supposed to get their revamp, it´s still not clear which one goes first. Also a new human faction is rumored to be in the pipeline, nothing really new, but an extension of the human empire. Also there are rumors about a plastic Valkyrie.

Oh, and GW is definitely not bancrupt, not now and not next year.

I was standing next to a space wofl play when he was asking about new codex at the whatsit table (which had the rules gimps at) and he was told no idea maybe ask me next year and i could tell you somthing..

so i wouldn't keep your hopes up for space wolves, althogh he could hav ebeen using smoke and mirrors

i think guard are far more likely with the cgi mock ups being spotted about

After Orks wave 2 it could be: IG, Necrons, DE or Space Wolves, and my guess would be in that particular order with some FB stuff in between.
