This is a followup to last year's poll.

Sorry for requiring the US dollar amount but it is the easiest conversion for most of us. If you are not sure how to do it, just go to google and type in your amount, your currency code and then 'in USD'. So type in something like '100 AUD in USD' to convert 100 AU$ to US$. Other major currency codes are CAD for canadian, GBP for british pounds, EUR for euros, JPY for yen, RMB for chinese renminbi, ZAR for south african rand.

Bought a lot, by my standards, this year but that's still just shy of 1000USD. Some SW, a good amount of Sisters, recently (Christmas) a pile of CSM, WoC earlier in the year, more paints, and rounded out my Codex collection (only missing DE now) as well as my Army Book collection. I'll leave out the money I spend on BL stuff.

As for me, somewhere in the 1000USD-2500USD range... got all the flames of war books, most of a british army, a load more vallejo paints, a good airbrush and compressor, a european village worth of 15mm terrain and lots of other odds and ends.

I think I hit the 2500-5000 mark:

Two daemon armies, 6 ultraforge daemons, three FW daemon lords, and a bunch of other FW daemony stuff, a few hundred in resin bases alone... yeah, that sounds like the right category.

I hope you realized what you've done asking everyone to reflect in this way!...

Why? Why? I just want to enjoy my army, not think of the vacations I could have taken with the money!

About $150 ish? Maybe towards $200. Major lumps being a box of metal wyches and a box of plastic demonettes, with honourable mentions to a incubi master. And bits for conversions.

The box of plastic nobz for a friend's christmas present was a decent chunk too. (I'm a poor student, I have lots of conversions and spent at least an hour per troop model, closer to two. Annoys even me at times, but does wonders for keeping costs down.)

Unluckily for me last christmas was stompa time (or maybe lucky). It all.... adds up as it were.

I picked up the hobby again this year in March.

Couple that with every color of Citadel paint and the cans of primer I've gone through for models and all the terrain I can get my hands on including the Realms of Battle Board..

I've got more than I ever dreamed of when I first started the Hobby as a 14 year old.

I expect 2010 to be MUCH cheaper in terms of getting up to speed in the hobby.

Maybe I can find time to actually PLAY more this upcoming year.

i've spent about $400 so far this year. Sadly at least another $250 to go to finish my new Eldar army

$430.94 not counting gas and food consumed while gaming.

I spent approx $4000 USD on 40K this year. Bought a 21,000 point ork army, 1000 point PM SM force and rounded out my Tau. $5000 or more if you count Adepticon costs.

I'm guessing $1500 or so, with about 3/4 of that on PP stuff.

I have Lots of SM vehicles and troops from 1st /2nd ed.
I purchased new Codex;BT,SW, Necron.
A little over $100 for Necron Army from Ebay. Did purchase quite a few Bits from Ebay store and LRR/LRC plastic sprues from GW.
I did not purchase a lot of my older models, Some were trades Figures for terrain.

$101-$500, I spent about... $476.25 this year... Woohoo!!!!!

I've spent quite a lot this year, although most of it was in the form of a Reaver.

I probably spent around $2000 or so. Mainly do to the fact that I started a WoC army and decided to arm them with a FW Chaos dragon and more recently (Still waiting for it to arrive actually) a FW War Mammoth... Also got quite a few superheavies when the stompas came out (I think that was 2009 rite?) so most of my money spent was in rather large items...

Sounds like that completely defeats the purpose of this hobby, but good on you for not letting "the man" get some money out of you for this awesome hobby.

I spent over 600, but less than 1000 If I remember correctly, its just because I just got started with the hobby, so figure case, paint, and enough models for a good sized army= expensive!

used to play frequently, but just got back into it this year...so building a new army + pains, + gifts for my brother/friends = >500$

I'd like to say close to $400 or so (new chaos army happened), but frankly with Ultra Forge goodies and stuff it's gotta be over $500

Maybe I'll keep better track in 2010, particularly because I want to keep buying way down and painting way up

Around $400. Just started up with a Blood Bowl box and a Black reach box, some paints, brushes and extra blood bowl orcs.
