Hello!

I just created a blog(literally, just today!) that will feature hobby articles, battle reps and work in progress painting commissions!

Please check it out, follow it, and keep checking back for further updates!

Damon here!

I just updated the blog. Next week I'll be starting a Blood Angels commission, which I'll be taking pictures of as I'm making progress. I'll also be updating with progress shots of my own personal Eldar warhost that I'll be working on.

This blog is in it's infancy so I'd really appreciate any feedback I can get, positive or negative critisism, as long as it's contructive, please!

Thanks a lot,

Damon of the Brush!

Interesting stuff - you should link the blog in your sig.

Also, take more pics - if you are going to do a blog then you should suffuse it with pics. And make sure they are good ones; the Tau ones are OK but they aren't that well lit so you can't see much of the detail.

Thanks Filbert.

I'm not working with the best lighting right now. The lights great for painting minis, but not taking pics :( I'll change this asap! I think a trip to IKEA is in order.

Thanks for the tip about my sig. I don't know why the thought hadn't crossed my mind!

Cheers!

Have a look around the site for a tutorial or article on making a light box. Also vent's tutorial on macro photography is well worth a read:

I just threw some images into the main post. Silly me for not doing that in the first place.

More to come!

Update 10/23!

So, I picked up the models for my Blood Angels commission. I was quite suprised to find that everything was partially painted in an Imperial Fists color scheme, with paint seemingly just thrown on there. Here are a couple of pics from the blog.

Cheers.

Stripping process is under way. From the looks of it, the Castrol degreaser is lifting the paint off of these minis with ease.
