Over the past few weeks I've been working on this little plague marine. He's an old school plastic CSM and the Nurgley-Bits are just greenstuff.
If you'd like to see more photos or progress pics you can click the link in my sig.

Hope you like him! C & C's Appreciated

Pretty sweet looking Nurgle marine... how many are you going to end up painting like that?

- Imperial Fists - 7290
- Deathskulls - 6150

Finally, another 1st Edition CSM.

Join the Imperial Guard. The pay's lousy, the battles fierce and you probably won't ever come back again. BUT you get a lasgun.

@wtwlf: Since, I don't play 40k or any other games, sadly, this lone plague marine will probably not get any buddies to tag along with him. I just paint and wanted to do a plague marine. But glad you like him.

@Necanor: Ah, 1st edition. So disproportionate. Just look at the size of his hands.. they're huge. Gotta love it though. I still have 3 complete CSMs from this box. I'm sure at some point I'll find a need for them.

Pheeew really nice job mate its actually how a death guard should look alike. Have you got any more miniatures on this theme? Give us some more if possible

Theofilos, I appreciate the comments. Unfortunately, this guy is the only mini I've done this theme on. I don't play, just paint, so when an idea comes to me, it's usually just a one-off scheme I'll do once. But, glad you like it.

Nurgle plague marine, as opposed to the Tzeentch plague marine.
Looks really good.

It's being run by people with short term vision and enough greed to extinguish a sun.

Perhaps they're the C'tan.

Dude how could you post as often as you do on my Death Guard blog and not tell me you did this? That is AWESOME! The detail is sick. It's obvious that you pay a *lot* of attention to detail when you paint. Highlights, OSL, nice conversions... dirty, filthy, nasty and very well done.

Hmmm... in retrospect you kind of did tell me, but it was more of a subtle hint than anything else. I need something more like "Hey Skalk follow this link I have a miniature I know you'd love to check out".

Very cool model, very cool conversion / paint job, and glad to see she let you finish it

@alexwars: Thanks! And yes, I suppose that is quite redundant, isn't it?

@Skalk: Hahaha! Thanks for the comments. Glad you like it. Next time I'll be sure to be more blatant.

Very nice I really like the armour what colours did you use for the green parts? I am inspired to touch up my plague marines now.

@killmaimburnkillmaimburn:
Thanks! For the green Power Armor I started with a black base coat and then used a mix of Chaos Black and Scorched Brown (All GW paints) as a base for the green power armor. The green was obtained mixing Scorched Brown and DA Green with just a little bit of Camo Green mixed in over time as the layers were applied. I suppose the final ratio would've been something like, 2:2:½. The camo green is so bright, that it doesn't take much to brighten the color up. The power armor had several coats of washes, mostly brown, but there was some black which was used for 1-2 coats.

@Tylerkabana:
Haha Thanks! Certainly appreciate the ego boost There's a few more pics in my WIP blog. Link is in my sig, if you're interested

Thanks for sharing. My plague marines are too bright and I was looking for a way to dull them down I really like your colour scheme so I will have to experiment with mine again.
