St. Celestine was given to me for free, so I painted it. I tried to use a color scheme I hadn't seen, and then I saw a similar one done far better than mine. Oh well. Comments and votes appreciated. Cheers

I don't like the armor. It's too bright for my taste.

The first word that came to mind was "garish." I commend the technical quality as much as I question the aesthetic choices.

I really like the cloak, but I think a green wash to tone down the armour would help, imho.

Nice technique, but not a fan of the color choices. My wife thinks it looks like something one of the Golden Girls would have worn. (1980s tv show about a house full of retired women for the non americans on the site)

Its all down to personal choice. I wouldnt have chosen the colour, but the more i see it, the more i like it. It contrasts well with the colour of the cloak, which is obviously the other main focus of the model. In short, i love it. The painting is of excellent quality, and only you need to like the colour schemes of your models to justify them. Individuality FTW

Thanks to all for the comments, even those of you who were not fans of the color scheme : ) I especially liked the idea of using a thin green wash over the armor, perhaps I will revisit the model and do just that. Thanks again to all.
Cheers

As has been said, it's certainly well painted. The turquoise looks good with the cloak, definitely. I think the garishness comes with the even brighter pink being used on the trim. That's the only thing that really clashes badly in my eyes, anyway. I think a darker color trim would help give it much better contrast and make the turquoise pop even more.

Looks great! The cloak is done especially well. Perhaps clean up some of the spots on the armor around the purple, it looks like it bled over onto the green in a couple of areas. If you can go back and line that so it's a bit more clean, it'll look a lot more crisp. Really cool model though, and I love the color choice.

I would not dull down the armour at all, you have done a fantastic job pulling of a very vibrant model. I would put a bit more pink on the breast plate area, I think its the area that needs breaking up a little more and then maybe the turquoise would not be so vibrantly in your face. A wash is not want you need its just going to dull it down and lose the point of what I assume you were trying to achieve, keep it up. Buck the trend and do something different

Top job on the cloak, the color is superbly done with really lovely blending, while I think the green of the armor does work well with what you are trying to achieve a slightly darker shade of either the plates themselves or amongst the detail on the bodice would make it look even better than it already does, overall I think it is a great paint job and a beautiful take on the mini!
