Hi all, Iv decided to field GK for a comp Im planning to attend in September this year and thought Id share the process with you guys.

Here is the list of models I will be painting and the equip the models will have.

HQ
Draigo

Librarian
- Sword
- Servo Skulls (2)

TROOPS
Paladins (10)
- Daemon Hammer (2)
- Brotherhood Banner
- Halberd (5)
- Sword (2)
- Psycannon (4)

Terminators (10)
- Halberd (8)
- Daemon Hammer (2)

The only models I need to buy for the army at the moment is Draigo and a Librarian.
Not sure if I will get a Librarian and convert it or use a GK Termie and convert to a Librarian, any suggestions welcome.

Also, having around 5 months to complete this project Im going to make a display board for these guys.



I currently have 1 of the new GK Terminator models painted up, he was basically a test model to see how well I could paint one up and what I wanted the army to look like.
So here he is, the fearless Kristof.

I was intending to get some stuff done for the GK today but I got distracted by the new terrain I bought lol.

I'll have some more pics up tomorrow.

Iv started on the Justicar for the Terminator squad.

Something I want to aim for in the army is to get some dynamic poses for every model, static poses bug me a bit.

The Justicar Iv aimed to position him so he looks as though he is thrusting his Halberd forward.






I think the last pic gives the best angle to see the Halberd being thrust forward.

Iv continued constructing the termies while I have time and here is the next fellow.

I liked the look of the 2h hammer guys the power armour box has so I did some chopping and changing to make this guy 2h as well.




I think the joins blend in pretty well.

i like the hand and joints on that 2h hammer flows nicely, i love your painting skils, but think your GK's are too dark black is nice and it looks good, but i always though of GK's as something more crazy look at me i am epic and shiney, but black knight works.

Iv got a couple of GK that are quite shiny and silver but I think I prefer the darker ones just cause most GK armies Iv seen are the bright silver colour scheme.

Another reason I ended up going a darker scheme is because it helps the blue lighting stand out more.

I dig the paint job. I would love to have a GK army. And I'm with you on the dynamic posing! It is difficult for me to assemble a squad with similar static stances (I hated those 3 piece snap together marines).

The 2nd hammer guy for the terminator unit I was going to pose swinging his hammer but this pose ended up working better, still 2 more hammers in the paladin unit I can model that way instead.





Once I have one more guy built I'll probably start doing some more painting.
