fluff/aesthetics wise. punisher, any tank with a gatling cannon on it gets my vote, though iv never used it on the tabletop so in that case it would be executioner

The punisher is so uncompromising. Give it the proper hull weapons and any unit in the game will rightly crap bricks against it.

Plus, I like the idea that the tank commander points at someone, and the PUNISHER CANNON stabs it with bullets until it dies.

Punishers all the way. What? Terminators? Here's sixty shots! Good luck making all those saves!

I once ran a squadron of Punishers against my Necron friend. A few techpriets huddled behind the tanks to repair any glances they took, and the Punishers made damn sure that nothing came within 24" of my squads, all nice and cozy behind the behemoths.

I like the vanilla Russ the most for the fluff and aesthetics. Plus for the countless times I used it since 3rd Ed.

For tactical use it'd have to be the demolisher. People despise that thing. So many shots poured into it just for it to come out laughing and blow something to smithereens.

I think the tank looks stupid so I vote for the primarch.

Can I take it, Ail you might run perhaps 3x Pun with HB hull and 2 x Hbs side giving (hows my math?) 57 str5 shots?
Never run them before myself but mathammer-wise sounds juicy.

Taking BS3 for all shots are you looking then at 28 hits?
Say VS T4 - 20 wounds?
Armor save 3+?
6 MEQs dead?

Thats dead rough MH by the way!
Anyone run stats vs GEQs or less?

Thats not a critique by the way, just trying to get a handle on them - as I said, never ran them before - not sure why.

Usually I give them a hull lascannon, and sponson multimeltas.

Heavy vehicles are threatened by lascannons and multimeltas. Light vehicles are threatened by lascannons, multimeltas, and the punisher cannon. So are monstrous creatures. So are terminators. Meanwhile, infantry of the Sv3+ or worse variety is going to be taking a lot of armor saves.

With the exception of AV12 fliers (unless they get close), everything in the game has something to fear from a punisher in this loadout.

Aesthetics; Vanquisher. I've got a bloody large gun, and it's going to ruin your entire day. It's also not bad if you run an Armoured Company; BS4, 4 hull point, reroll misses with the main gun? Goodbye landraiders, it was nice knowing you.

More generally, Executioner. See those terminators? Feth them and everyone near them. It's the only tank I have aside form the Pask-Punisher which can make back its points in one round of shooting consistently.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

Executioner gets my vote. I want that tanks babies.

If I could actually try the punisher out, it'd be the only real competition. That thing looks like a ton of fun to try on the table.

I actually have to say Punisher. I used to be really against this tank, I felt it was just a waste of points at one point, but more and more im starting to like the dakka it can put out. Only thing it needs is some sort of AP value, like your telling me a giant ass cannon like the Punisher can't pierce even Ork armor let alone Flak vests? Hahahaha, but oh well. With that many shots, not a whole lot is gonna live anyway

Punisher all the way. What's not to love about gatling guns? The only downside to them i can see is that you can't take punisher cannon sponsons or a hull mounted punisher cannon.

What exactly is the Conqueror and Annihilator? I have heard about them a lot recently but I never actually understood what they were or what made them great?

They're forgeworld variants.

Conqueror is basically what a Leman Russ would be if you tried to make it into a fast attack unit, faster, but lighter armed.

The Annihilator is a twin lascannon turret. Think of it as a meaner version of the exterminator (although sadly it just has a single shot TL lascannon if I remember correctly)

They're not super amazing on the table, but they look cool, and I'd probably get one of both if I could afford them.
