My hope for this month is to finish assembling and painting 3 knights and 27 warriors of chaos.

I'm in the process of moving though, so we'll see how that goes.

Well, the painting itself doesn't take very long. I can finish that land raider in two nights. Finding the motivation is what hangs me up usually! Especially when I don't *need* the model for an upcoming game or anything. Maybe I should hide my Nintendo 3DS until I finish something...

I've finally managed to wrap up the last of my in-progress Orks and Dwarves, so I'm on to the Skeleton/Revenant contingent of my DKH: Dead Rising set. Test models are progressing nicely and I think I've locked down a relatively simple method, so I'm hoping to crank out the rest of them (just shy of 20, once again in pieces, plus a few markers and skeleton dogs) within the month, in two or three large (for me) batches.

Pretty ambitious, by my markedly low standards, but I'm trying to boost productivity by aiming for tabletop standard more as a method/philosophy (heavy washes, drybrushing, simple edgelining - no/minimal blending, fine layering, or glazing) than a measure of the results.

Should I finish early (and hell freezing over hasn't impacted the climate significantly enough to cause a disruptive shift in weather patterns), I'll have to decide between moving forward with one of my smaller forces (i.e. an Infinity starter box), tackling one or a few of my one-off models, or starting in on the construction of one of my various fantasy armies still waiting on their sprues.

Magnetizing is super easy; my advice is to go slowly and be patient. If you pay attention, you won't make any mistakes - but if you do (like getting the polarity backwards!) it can be difficult to fix.

I need to finish painting the forge world stuff that I got for Christmas so I can justify buying some more when I get my bounty in may

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

All I want out of April is to get my three Vendettas finally finished.

I built the model in the foreground and purchased the other two from Lycaeus Wrex.

    The steps to success:

    1. Finish converting the lascannons: One of his models lacked three lascannons. My model's lascannons were converted differently than his so I felt obligated to make mine match. Lots of small magnets are required which are a pain in the ass. This step is almost complete. I just need to reattach one weapon mount to my Vendetta because I glued it on incorrectly the first time.

    2. Repaint my model: It is painted differently and needs a repaint. This step also includes painting all of the added lascannons for all three models.

    3. Paint details including squadron markings on all models.

    4. Add decals, which also involves some gloss coating.

    5. Weather all three models.

    6. Decorate the bases for all three models in an urban rubble theme.

    7. Dullcoat all three models (while remembering to protect the clear plastic canopies)

I still have a long way to go on them.

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.
