Oh dear lordie FFG are after my money again!!! Just seen the preview for the Han Solo & IG88 releases (Star Wars Imperial Assault) on TGN site and then see further down the page that they have another expansion for Relic coming out, this one has a board with it! This week I pick up the X Com board game and I still need to build up my X Wing forces! I'm sure there will be a 40k Conquest expansion soon as well and as it's likely to be Space Wolves, I'm doomed

Stop making such good stuff FFG! (not really, keep at it)

Well, yeah, but they pay me to write stuff so it's a little different.

You're not involved in writing up the rule books are? Some of their stuff is shocking. Classic case is stating the bloody obvious in a convoluted way or in the case Imperial Assault have 4 books with bits of relevant info hidden away in them

I thought the Imperial Assault rules were actually really thoughtfully laid out....

The X-wing rulebook is the single greatest game rulebook I have ever read. It just manages everything so incredibly simply.

There have already been a couple one of which added Ragnar and his Signature squad. I'm right there with you. Most of my hobby funds are heading their way of late.

Do you get like an employee discount? Like GW had way way back?

GW employees still get a discount.

I think I can order the things I've worked on for a discount, but that's about it. I'm not an employee either, but I don't know if they get discounts. They probably would.

FFG's 40k books have some great, well written fluff, so congrats. They're probably the best 40k printed material to come out in years.

Picked up X Com last night. Just need to find the time to go through it now. Love the fact you can play one player. I've downloaded the app and it looks like there is a web browser version of it as well. I agree that the X Wing rule book is well done. It's just some of the other games. Not sure why they appear to be a bit awkward when it comes to learning the games. This could just be me and my mate being dense, but odd that we've both made the same comments about a number of different rulesets. We get there in the end though and it suddenly makes perfect sense

oh no... X Wing play mats!!!!
