So over the years I have amassed quite a bit of spare bits, mostly still on the sprue. Do any of the online bit store buy them? I’ve just got a feeling I’m not going to do anything with them but I can’t bring myself to throw them away. It’s mostly Dark Angel bits, with some Tau and Tyranid.

Check what they are selling for on bits sites and put them up half price on eBay? Or be popular with your local group by starting/donating them to a shared bits box. Or list your bits here to see if anyone can make use of them: -

Alternatively, cut them off the sprue and sort them into a bits box. There are a lot of bead/fishing tackles/nuts&bolts organizers out there. Once they are off the sprue, they take up a TON less space. And you never know when you will need a bit for a project.

Definitely keep them for future projects. You never know what shape of bit will be useful in the future.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

As mentioned, take them off the sprue and keep them.
Chaos and Orks love a healthily stocked bitz box.
|
Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you. |

The right pieces can sell for a lot on eBay. I've had certain skitarii special weapons sell for £8 before! I'd have a think which bits you might conceivably use in the future and keep them. Sell anything super valuable unless you're certain you'll use it. Anything that's not valuable that you don't want you can sell together in a big job lot on eBay and get a bit more money back. I've had quite a bit of experience on eBay trading models, and having a well organised bits box definitely helps.

Well I already made my Dark Angel objective markers. I’ll see what I can turn into Tyranid markers before I do anything with them.

What kind of bitz do you have, specifically?

Mostly Ravenwing bike/speeder/Dark Shroud/vengeance. I’ve gotten some tactical marine boxes, 3 drop pods and some various tanks. Truthfully, I think for the moment I’ve been talked into keeping them.

Rog; I occasionally hunt up bitz for conversions or terrain projects. Do the bikes come with packs/pounches/boxes/etc?
At some point I plan to do at least one Salamander Scout and I intend to load it up with "supplies" to make it look like a long-range recon vehicle.

I use them for my bases. Always looks cool when a hq is walking through broken lascannons and meltas.
