Apologies if someone else already mentioned this but last night's Black Library Twitch stream announced an upcoming RT-era reprint. Looks like a handsome book with tons of extras but not sure about the price, especially with international shipping so mucked up these days. But it is tempting. I do love Rogue Trader stuff.

Anyway apparently preorders open Thursday.

Wow looks great, but for 300 quid i'd want it signed by all involved. Maybe some actual artwork as well or is that too much to ask? I'll probably order anyway, just to complete my set.

Ah lovely, another run of limited edition FOMO. Tempted myself but £300 quid is just a little too steep for my taste, even for a piece of history like this.

I've finally gotten into 30k and love my hardbacks from FW... this will be hard to pass up!

I wonder if the BL has finally found the upper limit of what people will pay for limited editions and will have to rethink their strategy. I know I'd be interested in a digital copy or normal hard cover even but I didn't even pay 300 GBP for my realms of chaos books.

Plus all that weird stuff on the cover makes me thing that this can't be put on a shelf and has to be displayed cover out.

Ah who'm I kidding, it will sell out in 5 minutes once Thursday rolls around.

Brilliant stuff - I would choose to pay £600 for a copy of this, ready to make an order.

I've read that comment of Priestly's but only online it will be nice to have it in printed faux-leather form.

It'll be nice to finally get a printed copy of the original - although I may just wait for the paperback - there's always one along a few months later.

tbh i'm surprised Priestly agreed to it, hasn't he been disinterested in everything GW have done since he left? could be a payday for him I suppose. Be interesting to see what Abnett has to say about the original though

There's always the expanded version from the RoC books. That was a whole _two_ pages!

Finally! Dumb as I am I lost my original edition when I moved away for my studies, and was super disappointed that the later version from the 90ies lacked the entire two last sentences describing Horus' assault on Earth, for whatever reason?! Good that this original, nuanced vision is going to be restored.

The best pranks are rooted in believability lol. What had me suspicious is that IIRC the "original" Horus Heresy was like a paragraph or two max, looking at the table of contents of this ~300 page book showed that it was literally just the 1 page in the middle of the book and that confirmed my suspicions, as even GW isn't that daft.
