Hello fellow dakkas,
the following models i couldn´t resist. i had to ebay them. the were in the mail today.
well first question that came to my mind: does anyone know where they are from? series and company?
an secondly: do you have any suggetstions as to how i might paint them? i think the will be a special kommando kind of party for my upcomming orc armee.

I saw something similar at a hobby store recently. Next time I go, I'll check, but I think they may have sold out. They were going for a dollar per blister, all out of production minis from tiny companies.

Correct me if im wrong but wasnt there a Rouge Trader era 40k army called the Slaan or something that were essentially toads.
I think they got a mention in either Ian Watsons "Inquisitor" or the old Compendium...

sooooo....long time no use of this thread...
but now for good^^
i have recently got a raised interest form my kids in my minis...
at first i did try to paint them some of my recent works for my steampunk army...until i came to the conclusion that i will need my precious minis for my army and can´t part with some of them...so what to do... then after some thought i remebered this thread and the minis still unused...
well to say the least i have worked on them...quite so...
without further ado i present to you the xenos special team...
that hammerhead should look a bit like if he is a wretched fighter from deep sea and is only just coming to the surface for a sweet killing spree...^^ rusty and dirty...
and here is my so far favorite xeno...the scubbadiving frog...eene meany mo...^^
i like his angered pose and yelling... he looks like an old landlord yelling at some load playing kids in the backyard...:"get offa me lawn, ye screaming lot"
for any C&C i will be greatly pleased...

well they are a bunch of four minis as of now... maritime setting and all... the other two featured fellas above will follow shortly...all nice and colorful^^ very comixesque^^

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.
