so i found infinity loved the minitures bought ONE and suddenly i have a small army unbuilt

But anyway i started up these guys today, just primed


But then i found the arms..... WHY SO SMALL?!?!?!?

so... any good suggestions on how to prime their Small arms? i cant figure out a way (in my head) to do it without Gettin primer up to my elbows
(using paint on primer)

any suggestions would be helpful.

also side note my first ever infinity minature (below)

Hey man I think your model looks alright just needs a few little touch-ups around the bottom of the cape, and some highlighting on the head. Maybe start with a light grey and then work up to white. And for the eyes, a wash or watered down red could help define the edges, and its really easy to apply as you can just drop in middle and wipe of any excess around the eye with a tissue or your finger.

really tempting but honestly i think i will keep her as a milestone/marker to see how far i have come for later.

plus i know at SOME point i will get a hex with a spitfire so there's that later (infinity just has too many good scuplts)

on topic: i have a question

The eyes for the front of this wonderful creature, should i go for the same red as the back, ((blood red & fire red, from reaper paints))

or some other color?

I know what you mean about the pics, especially if the light level is low it can really make a difference to how the miniature looks.

I would recommend moving it away from a white background, having the model under a good light source, and then running it through photoshop if you have it!

Looks good so far though, I know what you mean about the Infinity minis, they are so small. My painting skill has seemed really inadequate to the task, but I think working on those models really pushes you to improve.

Rel life is sometimes annoying. have barely got anything done :(

only after looking at the picture did i realize how awful that foot was placed
should have glued it in before basing the guy but you know, learn from your mistakes



there was SUPPOSED to be another image today, but it just looks Aweful.
so i will try to get a better pic later. (it was the above but a front shot. pretty much nothing changed from last pupdate, just a tiny bit cleaner)

and finally part of the reason i haven't gotten anything painted

P.S. if anyone has any hints/tips on how to get better quality pictures please post that. as seen i kinda need it

What are you doing for photos now? Otherwise I can only give general advice - improve lighting, use "macro" feature if you have it, take photos from further away if you are still having issues (you can always crop the photo before uploading) etc etc...

What camera are you using Marmaduke?

As Arakasi says, even if you don't have a macro lens, take the photo from further away inside the cameras focal length. If it's any kind of camera (or camera phone for that matter) that has been made over the last few years or so, chances are it has a mentally high megapixel amount so you will be able to zoom right into it after and it will still keep enough resolution.

For that, sign up to someone like Photobucket, who have photo editing software built in so you can crop it if you need to.
