Over the past few years, it's become apparent that I need more terrain for the Adepticon Necromunda tournaments, so this year I decided to throw together some new terrain pieces from odds and ends I had left from prior projects. They all still need to be properly painted but I thought I'd share.

Do you mean the air ducts on the Warehouse Tower? Those are just rectangular plasticard rod, with larger pieces glued on at regular intervals.

On the large chapel? The base is just a wood block, hatch is from some old sci-fi model kit with a 40K Ork handle added. The stack is just a 25mm round base and a CoD Manufactorum smokestack.

A happy accident can sometimes make a piece better than planned. Originally, I had planned for these pools to just have the larger bubbles (made from ping-pong balls and hot glue droplets) arranged in semi-transparent pools. While I was mixing the gloss medium and paint to form the pool's surface, I stirred too quickly and made the mixture foamy. Not thinking, I added this to the piece, hoping the bubbling would dissipate - which it didn't - before drying.

Well, some things are happy accidents like the caustic pools....and some things don't turn out the way you'd like. These modular canals were basically one big experiment to see just how far I could take the gloss medium-as-water technique. The answer was not this far.

don´t be too harsh with yourself about these cracks... could have happened to us all...but you have to admit...these channels look still very cool!...maybe you could add more water effects to the cracks and color them differently...thus making it again a happy accident...

the pools by the way are extra special!...i do like mute colors...but every once in a while my eyes are very happy to see such virant colors!

The white picket fence is brilliant, now to model a ganger using a slat as a club . The electric fence is awesome too.

Those are very nice, the electric fences are a clever idea but the mesh ones are my favourite, is that car body mesh or did you find a cheaper alternative?

I like the photobombing worm monster, demonstrating that fences don't keep out everything.

They're finished! I have to say I'm really proud of these collapsed dome walls considering their cheapness (basically free 2" foamboard, some bitz from the box, and 3mm MDF bases) and quick turn-around time (~6 weeks, alongside many other projects).
