What tray size does that use? BF has a setting for GW standard size, BF, standard size, SABOL standard size...

It fits three stacks of their standard Sabol trays or one doublewide tray and a single. The Marauder Destroyer is just about 19" square So it wouldn't even fit the doublewide tray. I would need a full 24" tray, and I don't believe anyone makes one.

THE DIVISION Case Measurements:

10" deep
24" long
15" wide

So, one of the things I'm goign to GenCon for is to hope and pray that Catalyst Labs has solved their LEVIATHANS problem, so I can throw money at them.

Last year, I busted my ASS to get two full fleets. Now, I'm giving them WWI era 'authentic' paint schemes for the French and British, running mast rigging, and adding Battle Ensigns. Woo!

Unfortunately, I found that their claim that the paint on the ships is just as good as primer, and you can just paint right over it to be... WRONG!!!!!!!

So I'm repairing masts, adding new masts, and primering the HELL out of them. Oh yeah.

This will be holding my full attention, so there will be no Ordinatii progress until after GenCon. Sorry Folks.

Have a picture of some Leviathans.

How can you pass up flying Battleships? I don't think you can. ELECTROCOALPUNK FOR THE WIN.

Mostly, on my phone.

You got my hopes up there - I had visions of further giant 40k vehicles. If you like flying battleships, though, you should check out Spartan Games's Uncharted Seas and Dystopian Wars stuff.

Dystopian Wars is, for the most part, water-line wetnavy fleets. Yes, they're 'steampunk' maybe even a bit of ironpunk, but only a few "Nations" have flying ships (like the German ZEPPLIN, which is, admittedly, cool.)

However, I dislike their rules systems. Great models, horrific gameplay. This is my $0.02. And I own an entire BOX of "Firestorm Armada" fleets.

No, I shall be sticking with my FLYING TESLA-POWERED WORLD WAR ONE BATTLESHIPS, thankyew very much!

More progress!

I started with a dark primer, and then went over with a medium grey. I realized that I was just annoying myself.

So, I switched to a lighter primer (Thanks, Krylon!) and Secret Weapon Minis Soft Body Black Wash.

I'm working on applying actual WWI paint schemes to my ships. I've repaired and added extra masts, so I can hang flags and some cabling/rigging. The French Fleet is a mid-darker grey, the British Fleet is a lighter grey.

The French were washed with SWM Soft Body Black, barely diluted. The British were washed with the same Soft Body Black, but diluted with about 4 parts water. I kinda wing my washes, sorry.

Are you bringing any minis.armies to GenCon for a possible pick-up game Brian? I don't care about rules, they are AMAZING! You'll have to get me started on these badass ships, tell me where to start.

I believe I could bring 1000 points of Minotaurs, Dave.

As for the minis and game, http://monstersinthesky.com. The game company is Catalyst Labs, who will:

1) Be at Gencon.
2) Giving away ships.
3) If you work the events and staff like I did, you can get two entire fleets, like I did last year.

Or, just buy the games, and play the demos to gets some extra ships.

Here's how it works:

Each demo you play in gets you a destroyer. You can TRADE UP, each time you play a demo. So, the second demo nets you another destroyer...or turns your destroyer into a Cruiser.

I also wheeled and dealed at their booth, to get the last ships I needed, as I dropped $200 on Shadowrun and Battletech. Due to an issue with China, they had no Leviathans boxes last year. THIS year, they have everything, and people are already having their box sets arrive at home.

Heh, Yep, it was good to meet you too man! I wish we would have had some time to meet and talk more, unfortunately schedules were packed and we had an incident Saturday: Lauri had her badge hung on her bag during a game, and it must have ripped off when she got up from the table, in her neck pouch, of course was her Credit Card, about $300 in cash, and her driver's license. So we had to go to the nearest bank branch and take care of things, no one tried to use her card, but lost & found never got it either, so we figured someone swiped the cash and trashed the rest, who knows?
