Well part of the supply drop finally arrived yesterday.


Also assembled what little I had to assemble for my fleet. Which I have a couple of names floating around for, their placeholder though is Le Ships.

Brainstorming with a friend and the three names to pick from are Ivalice Fleet, Valkyria Alliance and Les Lioness Noir. Also not shown are 9 more ships, the little planes and two bombers. The models are really quite nice, next to no flash nice crisp detail on the resin. However my bombers are metal and they kind of sucked, everything metal has flash but as you can see the boat parts are fine. It's just the propellers on the planes. :/

This is also where that Eldar scheme I'm not using will be going. Though I'm still thinking about that. For now though they're a bit off to the side.

Oh god, a Wraithknight!

Can't wait to see it complete, same with the ships!

Well i can't say i'm a massive fan of the wraithknight but i'm interested to see what you do with it none the less. The detail on those ships is great. How big are they?

Well they're ships that float in the air.
Sadly a lot of those are seemlines, not moldlines. Still need to fix them up though. Especially on gems.

I have japan and us starter fleets as well as fleet carriers for each and 1st edition book and dfs up fer grabs. Im me if intrested usboxis primed.

I'm not really interested in those factions at the moment, but thanks for offering anyway. If I change my mind I'll let you know.

Also if people were wondering where that warlock to spirit seer vanished to.

Still needs a lot of work and I'm tempted to restart that faceplate.

Well fixed up the blue a little more with a bunch of glazes.


Also the Warp Spiders finally showed up, that's two full squads of 5 with Exarchs there. I may run them as one unit of 8-9 and track down some more though.

They'll make a quite decent harrasser unit to complement the slower Wraith units. Or at least that was the first plan, I'm thinking they'll need Wave Serpents as well which should keep the army fairly mobile. But then again I could save if I have some units in transports as an assault force and existing ones to sit back and hold objectives. Then either I can get more spiders or keep the one unit and go for planes as a more mobile vehicle hunter. Also the two are fairly decent at fighting enemy flyers as well.

Spirit seer is coming along a bit... Still not sure on the blue but looks good enough in person I suppose.



And brightened the gold on the Wraithguard a bit.


The spiders are also all mostly together and on bases, but haven't taken pics as I need to remove the flash first and base them a bit first.

I like the Spirt seer. The blue and gold look spiffing together.

As for the brighter gold on the wraithguard, while it looks good i think it needs some sort of border going around the contours of the head.

Jesus christ, the Wraithknight is huge! I look forward to seeing your take on it!

Well here's the currently unnamed Spiritseer. Still trying to improve my painting by restricting myself by not using drybrushing at all.

As for the name, don't really like that one.
Anyone else have any ideas for it? It'd beat calling him Spiritseer 2 all the time.

I really like the green on the end bit of the deathspinner. Looks like glass .

Google. They haven't been very good.

Also here's the second Spider, I went with a darker highlight colour. It'll still likely get a wash though.


And the third spider. Since a friend wants to help me get better at painting, I'll be doing this one with their tips and such. Comparing it to that one above when it's done.

i like these strong highlight on the warp spider!... and the powereffect on the rifles muzzle looks very good too!

Haven't been painting that much lately, suppose I've just been taking it a bit slow.

Did a bit more of the gold and prepared the gem/glass parts.

Looking nice, Still love these colours.

TBH I would of done the spiders in a different colour but thats just me

I'm always open for suggestions if you have another colour in mind.

Also a bit depressed because of crap lately so mightn't be an update for a bit more but I'll try to see if I can get one out.

how about reds and orange for the spiders but at the end of the day they are your minis

Well finally another update, though perhaps not much. The farseer finally showed up about a week ago or so and got around to putting it together yesterday.

Cause I have Spiritseers, but still not a proper Farseer. So here's the start of Elya Ithil, lead seer of my Craftworld.

Got some flash to fix up on it though.

Loving the conversions

He looks cool. Are you going to do any conversion work or is he as is. Like I say he looks coo, as is.
