Feeling a bit better, thanks.
Also, She.

And nope, not planning any conversion work on this one, but I do have those two spare arms for something later I suppose.

Been a little busy with some stuffs.
Spoiler:
Been cooking and such.

Anyways got into the mood and did a little painting today getting some of the blue and gold done. Highlight is a bit stark so I'll be tying it back in with a wash I think. Gold is fine, though maybe a wash there and highlighting again.

Now now, trying to participate in Masterchef Australia?

Anyways, that model is turning out well. I absolutely love the design of it, too. WHat are you planning to do with the two other arms?

No plans for them yet, but something will probably come up I guess. As for the army overall, I need to move from the having fun with the HQ part of the army. I have 2 spiritseers, 2 farseers (one as counts as Eldrad), autach, Yriel, avatar, farseer on jetbike now...

I'd like to get a seer council and a spirit seer council eventually, but yeh.

Thanks Vik.

Did a bit more on it, not entirely sure on the blade still. It has a bright green edge along the bottom, but it seems hard to see most of the time.

Beautiful work, looks great. Like the hint of green.

Thanks.

Changed the green up a little, worked on the freehand on the cloak. Not exactly as good as I would have liked it, but I guess it's alright. Probably fix it up with weathering or adding something to the inside of the design.

Farseer is coming along quite nicely. Really digging the green gems.

Whats in this? Is it mash covered in cheese and then baked?

Thanks

It's cauliflower mornay.
Basically you blanch the cauliflower in milk while making the bechamel sauce, so it sits in there with some onion, cloves and a bayleaf (you tip the milk into a different pot with the white roux(a mixture of flour and butter which is at a sandy texture)) to make it. Then to turn that into mornay you take the bechamel then mix in an egg yolk, some salt and pepper and some cheese. When done parmesan is put over the top and it's put under heat to melt and colour it.

We refuse to take sides in this anymore. And we refuse to let you turn us against one another. We know who we are now, we can find our own way between order and chaos...

i agree with miss dee!

and that farseer looks better´n´better.... only the freehand should get fixed asap... that really pulls the model down...

Lady of the Lake

I'll have to give it a go sometime.

I tried to fix the freehand with washes and putting on more so it doesn't stand out so much by itself. Going back to the chaos runes again cause why not.

And this arrived in the mail today.

And some other Eldar thing shipped so I'll have to see if it's any good when it shows up.

It's just for nerdy needs, I already had a couple from the different series finally got around to tracking this one down as a late birthday present before.

Good to know. For if megaman was tainted by the xeno scum there would be problems

Really like the newer green you've put on the weapons, think it helps alot .

ah... I was expecting secret projects

Well there is a secret somewhat musical project in the works, or soon to be.

As for now Elya is done.

Maybe I need to get around to getting some of the background I had for the craftworld down somewhere. Some other time I guess, but this model shuffles around the leading structure of it a little.

And a group shot I put up on the first post.

As for the next project, it is primed and big.
The spiders are still more on the back burner despite how well they performed in their only game so far. I guess it's more the models being so static and bulky there which is funny cause of how static and bulky wraiths are.

Finally started painting the Wraithknight, the name was easy enough to come up with and somewhat cliche but meh. It'll be written on it in several places later.
The name itself is of course based on jäger, cause why not.

Got the blue started off on most of it, still need to do the shoulder vents, back and fins before moving on with it. But, now seemed like a good time to get a pic of it done anyway.

The Wraithknights do have a certain Jaegerish feel to them don't they?

Elya looks great, and groups shot is very cool, except you covered up someones face??? They look brilliant together and scary.

Love the knight, they are a SWEET model. And no harm in a name.

good looking start there... but after such a good looking finish i bet you are highly motivated

I think the blue is done at this point, did highlighting, added depth to the shadows with a small brush. Gold has been worked up through bronze, but I'm waiting to finish working on the black before highlighting it.

Great job on the blue - nice fading highlights and smooth shadows.
I also like the toned down gold - looks like real nice bronze. I can already imagine how it'll look with the highlights.
What will you do with the black parts?
Cheers
Klaus

The black parts should hopefully end up like the blue, but in a dark grey.
