I trawled through ebay now and then and finally found one cheaper than like $80.

Got it for about $45-50ish with shipping, so not that bad. Needs stripping I think, cause it's primed but it may be a bit thick.

You got one that wasn't $80+??

That's a bloody good find.

Finally back to working on it after a somewhat crazyish couple of weeks.

Got about 90% of the gems tinted green for painting now.

I'm tempted to make the colour bleed out of the gems when they are done to show the light travelling through them a little better, but I'm unsure if I should.

Finally a new update on this, only exactly four months since last time. Life got a bit crazy for a while and ended up on sort of an adventure for a bit there before recently coming back. Stuffs settled a bit more and now have time back for this so back to painting.

Of course after a bit of a long think on it towards the end I've decided to return back to the Sisters and to try to actually stick with them for now rather than branching off and getting distracted with other things. So I've already ordered a couple more sisters which should arrive in a little while to flesh out the rest of the third squad which sits at 5 members currently. The rest of the to-do list is finding suitable models to be superiors with bolters and replacing the second squad's leader first followed by the third squad.

The to paint pile for them still has two exorcists in it, however I'm thinking I should not try to work on the actual one again as it's be awkward to fit in my case, instead I'd just get around to painting the other "conversion" one I have. As for possible things coming in the future, I'm thinking I'll have some Retributers in the force, a nice fire base of heavy bolters to help keep the exorcist running a bit longer. Seraphim finally as a forward sweeping force to help the sisters get onto objectives more. Then there's the idea that maybe It'd be best to get a bunch more feet on the ground and minimise the transports a bit more. Though having a good fast moving troop base is probably a good idea too. Then maybe I'd look at adding in some simulacrum.

Thanks guys.
It's good to be back at it. Banner is getting to the end, but had a thought.

I need to repaint the rhinos I think since they didn't really get the repaint the sisters got, however I've been tempted with thinking of maybe replacing the turquoise with an electric blue. Thankfully laziness will probably stop me from doing that and having to repaint everything.

Well I'm going to say this is finished now, though way faster than I thought it would.

Thanks.

Wraithknight, well guess I have something to do still until more sisters show up at least. Gems take ages, but I really should get it done.

Finally got around to finishing fixing up and priming the rescued immolator to exorcist project.

Also primed the power generator finally as well, but that's drying at the moment. Not much work to it, but expecting painting to carry it along more like pretty much every terrain project I've done.

Got the start of the turquoise done on the exorcist.

Figured might be better to get that done first instead of the white like the other tanks so I don't have to worry about the white getting messed up.

Also for the generator, the idea with it is that tube that runs through the middle of it at the top then circles out will be painted with OSL.

Older pic of it to show how its going since it's been a while.

Haha nice use of the computer heat sink. I've got one of them lying around too.

Thanks guys.

Yeah, had a 360 around for parts, some of them work out better as terrain.
Got a bit of the white done, sort of like the dirty look of it but may clean it up a little before highlights. But not too clean.

Highlighted the white, though probably missed some of it. Reason for it is no idea where my dwarf bronze is at the moment so have to look for it.

Well got some new paints and worked a bit more on the Exorcist.

Also got some glue so finally put together the new battle sisters that came earlier in the week.

Not many yet cause I'm going to have to sort them out first then plan from there.

It's the power connector from an xbox 360.

With some Immolator parts and greenstuff to hold it together.

Using a new grey to paint these, VGC cold grey and the white will be VGC white primer. So will be interesting to see how they turn out from this.

Love Vallejos Cold Grey. It's a perfect replacement for GW's Codex Grey.

The Exorcist is good looking. The bits of freehand are really nice.
